Ouch! I imagine you haven't been able to look at a hot dog since, much less eat one. Food poisoning is one of the worst things anyone can ever experience.

No one said it didn't matter. I want the 1883 collective to become a major force in UND athletics. But the primary beneficiaries of NIL/Direct Payments will be football and (to a lesser extent) basketball. At most B1G schools, hockey ranks 3rd at best (4th depending on how women's basketball is doing).

We better hope Boston College doesn't offer him a six-figure NIL deal.

This does not sound like a full team effort. It sounds like sitting on our collective arses and hoping all this resolves itself.

I agree with you on this. However, I do want to have that particular card in our back pocket to play whenever it is necessary. So I really hope the 1883 collective becomes that ace in the hole for us

I wasn't talking about football or basketball. Being a mid-major in basketball is fine. Being FCS in football is fine. Being a mid-major in hockey is NOT FINE. Whatever needs to be done to build the 1883 collective needs to be done. We have always punched above our weight class in this sport and there is no reason we can't keep doing it. Cripes, I remember when our fan base expected success. Now we are being told to be "realistic". That's just another step to permanent mediocrity.

So you are on the mid-major from now on bandwagon? UND must NEVER, EVER settle for being a mid-major in hockey. If we do that, we'll end up like an HBCU. Bad teams across the board forever.

So, what are the odds we win on Friday and keep the season going at least one more day?

I think we should wait until our season is actually over and the transfer portal has actually opened. Then it will be time to openly discuss whether or not this coaching staff is the answer moving forward.

The Target Center is more of a basketball facility. The X is one of the best hockey arenas in the country.
