  1. KVLY would do a horrible job with hockey. Midco has done a very job of adapting and improving, They got rid of that god aweful lip synced fake rock song intro and some other really bad aspects.
  2. Ah-hem...... You've forgotten the song.
  3. Everybody: As far as NHL ready venues with a rabid and awaiting fanbase... this has always been the best move.... Bettman: Shreveport.
  4. Just deducing from the above pics here but id bet it has more to do with maybe needing to get equipment in for landscaping work.... Or maybe.... much like my college experience.... Mike Hawk was quickly sought after.
  5. There is no ceiling on how absolutely devastating this thing turns out.... maybe ceiling is wrong, depths of hell?
  6. ah-hem.... FYI
  7. Well.... rona Delta obviously....
  8. Very fair evaluation.
  9. the inflation costs of new vehicles is insane right now. $70-80k for a truck... Wtf? The money and hassle of running kids around town in the Silverado, im really needing to sit down and do a deep cost comparison for tesla... or other alternatives.
  10. $45k ? Hahahahahahahahahhhahahah......... thats what 3 years old and 60k miles now.
  11. Northern plains District was shafted... in my view of spots at all the national festivals. Very little opportunity at the levels. Makes one question the massive amount of kids invited to the spring NP high performance camp. Seems to have been 95% money grab and 5% true competition for advancement. In fact the watered down talent level at the camp kept some of the higher skilled kids from attending.
  12. Im warming to an actual monorail loop idea. The College Hockey Hall of Fame thing is something that needs to be added to the REA, I always thought it would go good between the main entrance and the bookstore. It could be a combined structure... HOF and upper level monorail station.
  13. Science and tech mueseum, would be interesting. Interactive space exhibits, simulators, planetarium. Family multisport entertainment complex, gocarts. https://www.wonkaplayground.com/indoor-family-entertainment-center/ Anything that has interaction, a bowl of seahorses on the old K-Cafe just aint gunna hold kids attention past 1 visit.
  14. It really is more of a Shelbyville...err Bisonville idea.
  15. Anything but some leaky fishtanks full of nemos depressed cousins in a broken down kmart. For the good of GF someone needs to get a little match happy with that building before any public money is flushed down the toilet like the dead fish of an idea this is....
  16. Bingo
  17. Came here for exactly this. Everything I've read here screeeeeeams Lyle Lanley. This sounds like a terrible idea. The mall, as a whole NEEDS to be demolished, ASAP. The viable businesses in there could fill some of the multitude of empty locations or locations in need of refurbishment. This is where the city should invest money, helping those businesses move into and revive something else. Then pressure the mall ownership to either doze it and develop or look into doing it through eminent dominish practices, or just good old fashion finger breaking... however it gets done, doesnt matter. Just need to get it done the land and location is too valuable to slowly rust away or squander money on a few fish tanks. And as soon as this is done, drag the columbia mall owners in and let em know they are next.
  18. Better youth baseball facilities as well.... But after those 3 things... Minot touch Bis or Fargo .. or GF IMHO.
  19. To be faaaaiiiiiihhhhhrrrrr.... GFHockey was basically 100% correct his prognostications from 2018.
  20. Thats a tough question. No not "just" the very few who have a shot. Technically... anyone can, figure it out.... and turn from being a low B C level player for the past 10 years to being able to compete at a varsity level.... but technically... I could win a beauty contest too. Point is, the concept of creating opportunity for those that would not have a chance to make a high school team... at the expense of others is ... difficult to balance. Would this opinion be the same for say.... Grand Forks? So should another team be created to create opportunity for those that couldnt earn a roster spot? This seems to be a need that is fulfilled already by a Jr. Gold Program. But yes the difference is... a 3rd High School in Bis vs the 2 in GF...
  21. Rumor is in order for BHS and CHS to accomodate Legacy on the schedule... they had to give up games vs GF....so seems this is already the case. There will be an exodus of those higher capable players to juniors from Bismarck... there just has to be now, less games vs EDC, which just waters down the programs more. The WDA is very much watered down now and yes BHS is hurt a bit in the next few years (they maybe had a chance to compete for a 4th seed) but not nearly as bad as Century. Century is decimated by the split. VERY real possibility no Bismarck teams make it to state next few years.
  22. Both. But those numbers are fluidish with a few kids. 1 goalie as of now so who knows how it will work out.
  23. The real question, is a high school hockey opportunity being created for kids who can or should be playing High school hockey. At what expense? So if you do have a group of kids that have trained, worked, strived, spent the time and effort in order to attain the skillsets and abilities to compete at the level of competitive High School Hockey.... what of these kids, does not just making more teams take opportunity away from them? So the kids who have strived and earned opportunity must give to "create" opportunity to those that have not or are not able to.... Kind of a common theme in this country now... BTW... with Jr Gold options, there was always a place to play for ALL kids in Bismarck.
