  1. Historically and per precedent, yes, it is possible. Burgum was very one sided in terms of the rivalry. But you’re new to UND and presumably these dynamics so you’re excused. The jealously is bizarre? I would argue quite the contrary- it is incredibly expected, actually.
  2. Right. Just politics …
  3. I’m pretty sure it can’t get any worse, so I think (and hope) it’s all going to just get better from here on out, but have to cleanse UND of all this negativity and pessimism also. It will come with time and success … after all, everyone loves a bandwagon, although the biggest motherf*ckin bandwagon sits in Fargo on the NDSU campus with the likes of Burgum and now Kelly Armstrong and such, but oh well, politics … Want to fix this? As the situation has always been, UND needs to do something about it (not wait because that hasn’t worked for 1.5 decades). It worked for South Dakota State, now it’s UND’s turn … be proactive and get it done. Things are happening to at least get the process started ….
  4. Been sickening for some time (years).
  5. Disgusting.
  6. There will be opportunities, hopefully very soon, to show if he indeed will support both athletic programs, although many would prefer he support his alma mater preferentially. As a reminder, it is difficult to just support both, as they do compete head-to-head. His predecessor was quite one-sided despite the outside sentiment of supporting both. We’ll see with 2025 Kelly … I’m hopeful, although the Lets. Go. Bison. look is a bad start.
  7. Already increasing actually, and I agree, it will continue to do so. There are current and soon to be enacted opportunities for all “supporters” to contribute - why wait? The most frustrating area has been state appropriation and departmental allocation, especially when looking at how NDSU has been treated by Burgum, NDUS and the legislature, and now apparently Armstrong is an NDSU guy …. Nonetheless, there are signifiant private opportunities for UND football and they are being and will be capitalized on. More opportunities to come, stay tuned …
  8. Some skepticism is perhaps fair given uniqueness of this (and don’t say Mike Zimmer, that’s NFL and didn’t quite work out I’d say), but it could work. Uniqueness can be either really good or really bad. Time will tell.
  9. Ironic; looking to self-flatter while stating don’t flatter yourself. Hilarious stuff from our local Cajun French forum “expert”.
  10. If the AD were to make any adjustments, rather than micromanaging, it should be plainly increasing the salary pool so a quality DC candidate can be hired. But we’ll see how this HC/DC combo arrangement goes and go from there …
  11. -6 years (2014-2019), not 8. -Overall record 37-32 during those 6 years. -Offense was an issue, not defense; offensive coordinator was fired and replaced in 2018. -hired away by Kalen DeBoer, current HC of Alabama, in 2019 But we know you have all the answers, Simple Dan, so you’ll probably be able to precisely predict how he does as a first time college head coach…
  12. He and Danny probably should be thanked. 2025 UND football in a much better spot than 2024 UND football. As for Sam Hagen’s final year of eligibility, he’s staying with South Dakota St. in 2025 it seems. Oh well, UND has 4 returning starters on the offensive line, continuity at O coordinator and offensive line coach, and some decent depth.
  13. Unique in division 1 college football. Will see if this works and/or doesn’t change.
  14. Truly spectacular. It all will come down to the guys in the building, now, though. But there’s no doubt this helps you get the right guys in the building (recruiting). Win-Win
  15. Bubba is a good guy, it’s just that [apparently] being a good guy doesn’t entitle you to being a good to great head football coach in 2024/25. Sometimes you have to make your own luck which involves hard decisions. The best way ain’t the easiest way. Onward. Schmidty is a guy to admire and respect in his own right, which everyone knows, and here’s to hoping his way is the right way for UND.
  16. Local guy. Starter for FCS playoff team the past few seasons. Would solidify the UND offensive line amongst all five starting spots and offensive line is the most important position group in all of football. Would be a major step towards giving UND a consistent offensive effort that raises the floor of the 2025 season and helps out Schmidty’s defense in year one of the 4-2-5 transition. I also excuse the guys who left following 2023 as the program was headed in a horrible direction (and hence a 5-game losing streak and a losing season in 2024). You don’t extend a lame duck coach, lose the current offensive coordinator of Washington State and head coach heir apparent to a rival in a lateral move, and lose your newly hired replacement offensive coordinator alum to your rival within one week without some guys rightfully saying what the f*ck? Anything else?
  17. So I didn’t realize UNO is better than Alabama MBB this year?!?
  18. If improved tight end play leads to more wins, I’m all for it. Ultimately, need better play at all positions. Hopefully the tight end position sees a boost along with most every other position, especially quarterback and nearly all defensive spots.

I’ve always enjoyed watching games at University of Phoenix / State Farm Stadium. Natural grass indoors is always a nice touch. What you’re mentioning is the difference between what BIG 10 and Mountain West money can buy. Enjoy the ball game.
  20. Must be a und hockey / ag school football banger … gotta love that type. You keep doing you, in your fantasy world, and I’ll continue with facts.
  21. Saban didn’t like them either, and “retired” - similar theme. Bottomline is adapt or die….
  22. Yeah not doing that on this medium. Nice try “hockey”
  23. Not acceptable. Needs to be addressed.
