Technically the program went from 5-7 to 7-5. That is an improvement but it is not the standard. UND football needs to be competing with ag college every year, so #1 and nattys is the standard now. **I expect a big jump from year 1 to year 2 with at least 9 wins. LGH

Bubba was worse … but 7-5 is not acceptable. Can’t go 0-3 vs other Dakota Schools. Can’t lose more than 1 FCS game per year … this is sh*t need better players and better coaches … surprise, surprise

Have you seen 3rd and 4th tier wild card tie-breakers in NFL? ADs in a Smokey room doesn’t supersede the AQ bids… if you win, it all works out. CFB playoff system has its own similar issues. Difficult to objectively assess all teams when there’s well over 100 programs per subdivision. that god damn pairwise with college hockey (far less teams, a completely different sport to compare, with different scheduling complexities ) is not apples to apples comparison … but don’t get me wrong, college football playoffs could be improved; seeding the top 16 has been a good start.

Yeah, just need to not be on the bubble. College football playoff system (FBS) has the same issue if you’re on the bubble … Technically high school football and NFL have similar concerns for teams that are on the fringe also… All in all, the response is simply win and leave no doubt.

Craig Haley is the enemy; he’s a fargo ag college groupe who eats NDSU propaganda for breakfast, lunch, and dinner … I hope y’all realize that UND football has been facing two opponents regularly through the years, especially since 2011, on and off the field (including in recruiting): NDSU and the public’s perceptions fueled by fargo garbage after nearly 15 years, time to end all that UND should be the FCS’s new SDSU: always seated at the table with ag college, instead of being blackballed consistently Ironically, UND has an opportunity to make that case this weekend against … wait for it … SDSU

Agree with this approach, certainly. The strength of the team is the defense and the offensive line, so we need to call offensive plays accordingly. We’ve got away from that the past few weeks. It shouldn’t be hard to run downhill and then use play-action, but we’ve been our own worst enemy. Too many jet sweeps with Hoskins; or repeatedly going to wide zone with Seidl which occasionally results in losing yards; or calling 5-step drops with prolonged progression throws for Jerry Football... just get back to the basics… then you can be creative once you’ve actually established the L.O.S. … need to strike that balance the offensive regression has been concerning, but South Dakota State in the Alerus this weekend will be just what we need to right the ship …
