Well, it turned out to be a 3 point game, but the wrong team won. Hurts so bad. But now time to go 11-1 …. Let’s Go Hawks
-
UND wins 24-21
-
Well damn … there are some piss poor expectations still… Thank God the new regime with Coach Schmidt is paced to exceed them and cure all the pessimism in this diseased culture that has been UND football …
-
Yes. Will win both FBS “gimme da money” games and FCS playoff games.
-
Disgusting- fits their persona though. Piss yellow and sh*t green
-
UND will win more than 6 games so you’re off there. There are indeed concerns still at quarterback, receiver, and defense, but things are going to go a lot better than the picture that you’re painting.
-
Injuries will do that
-
Not in this day and age of football. This isn’t 2000 college football anymore.
-
Well the SS verdict / jury is out; sorry Bubba.
-
I’d be all for Bubba as AD …. although there are always alternatives.

Week 1 pressers:
-
Green helmet, green jersey, white pants, don’t overthink it. But ultimately the team can pick whatever they think is best. Look good, feel good, play good.
-
Maybe sacred heart is sacred heart for a reason? Ya think? X, Z, and SS gonna ball out behind this OL group. Get ‘r done
-
Right … xSUs have done it … questionably. Lots of success, but no need to copy those big mouthed a**holes.
-
All those headed to the game need to stay clear of that hot head (Avery’s old man) … he gonna be more pissed than he was in Ireland … sack city?
-
Oh trust me, it doesn’t hurt, it’s actually enlightening. But to each their own; maybe you enjoy cows and big mouth breathers, I don’t know?
-
They are all must win games. Cue Herm Edwards …
-
- Rest assured, Coach Schmidt and his staff have made plenty of decisions, they just aren’t disclosing everything to the public, for good reason. This isn’t bubba ball anymore, we actually want to win big games now and this is called gamesmanship. I’m all for it. Tune in on Saturday to see the starter, but you’ll likely hear something before that also. - FBS game are heavily factored into the FCS playoff committee’s decisions so to say the kstate game doesn’t matter in terms of a playoff spot is pure uncompetitive “tail between your leg” b.s. that bubba ball has imbedded into the culture of und football the past 10 years. No more. Play to win the game, and let the chips fall where they may.
-
Okay….. But I agree, New Era, Go Hawks, beat kstate. Get it done. Games are won and lost up front, and UND will be marching out an FBS caliber o-line and defensive line, at least at the edges. Physical ballgame. Nothing easy. Let’s go
-
Ok ….. if Kansas state had won, then people on here would have been also mentioning they looked tough. And now, they lose, and they are tougher? Whatever. Go down there and win the f*ckin game. let’s go hawks… So, apparently, Kansas state is not invincible

Gonna have to create the excitement and buzz on the field, which is the most important thing. But what most don’t realize is that it is all connected: marketing improves recruiting which improves the on the field product. These are the dog days of summer this deep into fall camp. Coaching staff is way too busy to create marketing content so it is supposed to be up to athletic department to create the buzz … in with that, to your point, there are crickets and wasted opportunities… UND athletics is not perfect and has to get better. ultimately I expect the on the field product to be much improved and it will hopefully take care of itself ….

Okay, let’s try a more positive and supportive approach: Dear UND Athletics, As we navigate the evolving landscape of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), along with the emergence of collectives and internal revenue sharing, we would like to respectfully suggest an update to the online presence of our University of North Dakota football program. With the first game on a national stage just 1.5 weeks away, there is significant momentum and growing interest from fans across the region. To align with the standards of our regional rivals and meet the expectations associated with Division I football, we encourage the addition of an updated roster that features player photos and X (Twitter) profile links. This enhancement would not only foster a stronger connection with our supporters but also elevate the visibility of our football program. We appreciate the strong emphasis on ice hockey; however, we believe that a more balanced approach to promoting all athletics, especially considering the popularity of college football nationwide, would benefit our overall athletic program. Thank you for considering this request as we strive to enhance our university's visibility and competitiveness.

And you’re … let’s say … miserably mediocre ? Criticism just for the sake of criticism is not okay but constructive criticism is critical to improvement and absolutely necessary.

UND beat Montana last year even with a 5-7 ball club ….
