If you want to farm, you go to the ag school of fargo; if you want to own the farm (and still produce the precious food you use as a petty argument in this context), you go to UND.

Huge opportunity this weekend in Grand Forks at the Alerus Center on October 11, 2025, at 3 PM versus Youngstown State (3-2). Youngstown State is 3-2 after defeating Mercyhurst and Robert Morris at home and then defeating Towson on the road. Their losses are to Michigan State (24-41) and on Saturday to South Dakota State (30-35) although they were leading at halftime. Youngstown State has a very good quarterback in Beau Brungard. Anyone who watched last year’s OT loss to Youngstown should remember him. He’s a very athletic QB that can make plays with his feet and his arm. Going to be a good challenge competing against him. Anyways, huge opportunity for 2025 UND football. Everyone get out to the Alerus Center on Saturday and enjoy our home conference opener against a very solid opponent. Get loud and cheer on UND to their second conference victory. We owe Youngstown one after last year. Big QB duel between Brungard and our very own big-time gunslinger Jerry Kaminski. Let’s Go Hawks!

Well I’m obviously going to get “all bent out of shape” after someone named hockey1 goes out of their way to calculate all that and type it up. You’re probably a country bumpkin ag school central supporter who just happens to like hockey, but I don’t want to jump to conclusions, so I apologize if that isn’t true. Too bad poor little ag school central of Fargo don’t support hockey. Oh well, good luck in the fields this year, or driving truck, or whatever … And yes, by the way, you’re right that both ag school central of Fargo and UND are fine institutions, but what you failed to mention is they aren’t just built on sports championships. They were actually founded on education, and for that, one is clearly superior. In fact, with that, the ag school is most certainly the “little brother” while the other is clearly the Flagship and it’s not the one in Fargo. But this is a sports and football thread, so you can take your +1 for the day and have it .. onward

In other news, although SDSU hasn’t looked as dominate as in years past, their social media team is killing it … something UND should strive to do.

Good work setting the record straight… I’m not making the key point he tried to make… UND is far superior to NDSU. **There’s no “little brother syndrome”** As for athletic championships, NDSU doesn’t even sponsor hockey, just like UND doesn’t sponsor baseball or wrestling, so really it’s all a disqualification right now on true discussion in terms of overall championships between both institutions. But yes, we can credit BOTH UND and NDSU with their division II women’s basketball championships if that makes you feel better with the facts. onward.

Nothing like that national exposure … getting your butt kicked on the national stage!! But honestly, best of luck to the young man.

Disagree. National TV every week is a stretch… but I suppose BTN is “national TV”. There are certainly opportunities for more $, but it is not guaranteed. Minnesota is definitely not in the upper half of the Big 10. You sound like a goofer fan when not cheering for hockey. Fleck has definitely plateaued … above average salesman but very average football coach it appears. Wouldn’t trust his message ironically enough when it comes to being “Elite”…
