  1. Exactly, take the best free throw shooter on each team and it's atleast even. I should of clarified myself. Also, whats your guys field goal percentage (basketball or football). My main point here is lay off the guy. If he actually made the PAT and the ref f"d the call up it's on the ref to make the call. Tight game it's not easy to nail those ones.
  2. Whoa, easy there. Even good kickers miss PAT's just like good refs miss calls. Statistically you're way off by saying PAT is easier than a free throw but I'm sure you already know that.
  3. I don't mind knowing who the stud is on the other side of the ball. I think UND announcers as a whole give a pretty unbiased call of the game. Even the hockey announcers on TV do a good job of calling it as they see it. Coach might take his observations a little over the top though. He's a football guy that gets excited over talented football players. I get it. Not for everybody but I get it. Not disagreeing with you. I'm sure you aren't the only one that feels this way.
  4. The only player I can remember getting a sixth year was Joe Wilson. I can't remember anyone else getting one.
  5. I really believe that there is more to the story on Mollberg. I was surprised that he wasn't the starter at the beginning of the year. It was increasingly odd that he wasn't second on the depth chart. Yesterday's refusal to put Mollberg in the game was just bizarre to me. As some have mentioned on here he might be looking for a medical red shirt but outside of that nothing makes sense to me.
  6. Sounds like Bartles has taken some shots. Is Mollberg ready if needed? Who is the #2 on the depth chart?
  7. I like to think I'm half full type guy. I truly believe we have some talent in this secondary. I'm also pleased with our improved offense minus the ball ending up on the ground.
  8. The question is are we stuck with them for another 2-3 years or do we get 2-3 years of improvement?
  9. I think our offense puts up a few more points but I think our defense gives up around the 49 your predicting. I didn't expect to see this D being this week at the start of the season.
  10. Really frustrating to see our secondary get taken to the woodshed week after week. I'm sure it's a lot more frustrating for coaching staff.
  11. thanks for the updates Eric.
  12. Guys, guys he's Canadian. He only tweets about former UND football players playing in the CFL or ones playing him in floor hockey. Everybody knows that. Seriously, he does need to do a better job with football but unfortunately UND is a hockey first school.

Ohio State will have thier hands full with Michigan this year. I still think the Buckeyes handle them though. I think Michigan takes Michigan State this week.

Michigan and Utah both get awards for surprise teams of the year. I would of loved to see that first game played in November instead of the first week of September.

I always liked Spurrier. He made some uncharacteristic comments this summer but I was really pulling for him this year. Sark is in the same category as Bielema. Didn't like him last year with his sideline antics and cocky attitude at pressers, really disliked him this year. People get divorced all the time and don't have to drink 24/7 to get over it. Don't even try that excuse.

  18. Ya, you see that stuff. I think in our Muss era the couple of road wins we managed our players did the same sort of stuff. I really don't think that happens with Bubba but you can't stop all the little stuff. Give them some up downs at practice on Monday. I'm sure those players were getting it the whole game from the student section.
  19. What happened?
  20. I liked what O'brien did yesterday. But, the talent gap between the other two positions (especially safety) changes our whole defense. It's been said many times it takes 11 guys. That was really evident yesterday.
  21. The gap between James and Reyes is just amazing. James is simply a step too slow to be a good or efficient Safety at this level. Changes the whole defense and limits what can be done as far as stunting. I have no problem with how Schmidt called the game. Certain things need to be accounted for in order to send any of your backs after the QB. One thing would be trust in your safeties to be just that, a safety against a big play. Yesterday our safeties gave no indication they were capable of taking risks.
  22. I did as well which was almost as frustrating as our defense was.
  23. I think it would be tough to keep an injury to Ratelle or Reyes under wraps. People would really be talking around campus. Maybe that's just me wanting things to go our way.
  24. Some A$$h%le decided to get married this weekend, so I won't be able to stream the game. I'll be leaning on you guys for periodic updates. I'd really appreciate it.
  25. 21-18 PSU. UND wins turnover battle loses war. Offense remains bland and crappy but musters up some points.
