  1. Reason enough to keep him around and see how he rebounds this off-season, at least that's my stance. He has acknowledged his mis-handled the last off-season. The cupboard is very full.....now how he responds from some obvious gaffes after last year. As a fan, I'm good with another year with the pipeline he has as long as he can keep some players around this year and fill in the voids with the portal.
  2. Lost out to SF Power in 3 games. Won the first, lost the next 2.
  3. The problem isn't the coaching it's the genetics. Not to mention, Bismarck is about 3 generations behind in hockey families.
  4. 1st AA goal by Minnetonka and the celly stays on one end...the old down on one knee arm pump Gretzky style, pull starting a lawnmower. Guess it helps when you've tucked 17 times as a SOPH.
  5. My bad...it's early. Yeah that kids got it. Little sister has a nack for the net as well, but also small.
  6. I was thinking the same thing watching some of those yesterday. I did get a kick out of the 2 guys (can't remember which team) who put on sunglasses on the bench and pretended they were security when the camera panned over to the coach...but alas, they lost as well.
  7. I have no idea how many kids leave early from East...if kids would stay home in Bismarck and Minot things would be much better out here. That being said, I've come to find when it comes to sports, everyone at some point has to make a selfish decision. Whether it works or not is up to them.
  8. Yeah...no. Brayden Strom, FR season, 18 and 20 for 38. I'd have liked to see him return for his SOPH season, but other than that, go ahead man...go onto Northstar. Strom, by the way, was recently added to Penticton's affiliate list. I don't know if that holds any water for the future or not. Max Vig, 16 and 31 as a D his JR season, basically controlling games. Yessir, go on, get outta here. For Bantams, dominate your 8th grade year, able to play on top 2 lines and special teams for your HS, go ahead an move up as a FR. Something like that. Works for some, doesn't work for others.
  9. IDK but this starting session 2 at 6 pm is ridiculous. Warroad game should've been halfway done by now.
  10. Already tired of the 200 foot cellies....there's my get off my lawn pet peeve.
  11. The ol' saying goes...dominate the level you're at before you leave town.
  12. Not sure I've ever seen buckets the color Delano is wearing.
  13. From a viewership standpoint, sir. But yeah ND can hang their hat on that one.
  14. Hibbing takes game one over Dodge County in fairly dominant fashion. Gosh darnit watching this tournament, even the 1st day of Class A, is on a different level.
  15. Big kid. Pretty smooth, I would say offensive minded defenseman. I would say at this point could get more explosive and physical. Not saying he's a bad skater because he's not...smooth...needs the burst.
  16. I'm not much n the loop Wilbur, but I have heard rumors of defenseman Raschke leaving Legacy (Northstar) an possibly McKay-Pressley being done with hockey all together. If both of those happen it's a fairly drastic drop off for the Sabers.
  17. Split them up!!!!! Kennedy had the girls playing fantastic hockey this weekend. The second year in a row the 5 seed has won the tournament after beating north in 2 OT. the parity in girls hockey is nice. Hats off to Kilgore on a great season as well. rumors swirling of hazen, watford and Langdon moving up out of 19u that would shake some things up.
  18. You know what’s good for development….genetics. More than likely whatever path they chose, it would’ve worked out for them. nobody will know.
  19. These Sheyenne color combos are atrocious. Sheyenne-Minot chippy.
  20. GF 36 points, WF 35 points, Bismarck 34 points....Fargo 11, Minot 3. I've heard Bismarck and GF went to OT like 4 times. Bismarck's AA is heavy with CHS kids, but hearing a lot of the team might be chasing the dream elsewhere. Time will tell.
  21. NDAHA puts the Bantam AA, A and B1 in Bismarck the same weekend as the State HS Hockey Tournament.
  22. https://www.inforum.com/wdayplus/livestream/high-school Seems like some of it may be local without having to stream: https://ndhsaanow.com/news/1919/ndhsaa-girls-hockey-state-tournament-televised
  23. Besides the 1-8, the QTRF games will all be tight. Should be another great girls tournament.
  24. That's about like Mandan hanging a "Girls WDA Champions" banner in their rink. Which doesn't even exist, although that was self appointed.
  25. I agree I think the Minot-Sheyenne and Shanley-Legacy will both be low scoring, tight games. Legacy is 0-6 in State Tournaments overall, not that it affects this team, but would be nice to see a win. Legacy PP operating at 26% could make a different, Minot shut that down on Saturday.
