Those will be good games no matter which WDA and EDC teams are involved. CHS lost to WF game one in a shootout 7-5 this season, and beat Davies 4-1 (both a long time ago, I acknolwedge). Troy Olson should be WDA COY and potentially the state for the job he has done this season.

If you go to the 10:46 mark, right after RR makes it 4-1 with 2 minutes left in the game, Mattern takes one run at a RR kid and then delivers a cross check to Ulmers back and gets called for it. Then appears to run his mouth all the way to the box. Whoever the color guy is basically said he didn't like the hit. Fast forward to the 10:49 mark...when I believe it is 5-1...Cunningham basically said "I dont' think Mattern made any fans tonight the way he approached this game" and the color guy started talking about the students razzing him all night. Skimmed through the post game and didn't hear anything bad....that's about the worst I could find, which didn't seem bad at all within the context of the game.

CHS boat races Legacy. CHS-Minot for the WDA title.. Bottineau v Jamestown, Mandan v Legacy will be very close play in games, all toss ups.
-
Bottineau taking Williston to the woodshed 5-0 after 2. If the Braves hold on they will play the loser of Jamestown and Minot.
-
Sort of North Dakota related. Warroad beats Orono 2-1 in triple OT to advance to the state title game. Minot's Rolli with over 60 saves on the day.
-
Mandan 5-1 over Dickinson. Mandan will be a a tough matchup for the loser of the LHS, CHS game. Especially being the night game tonight and the 11 am game tomorrow. Grafton and North 4-4 going to double OT.
-
Great day of games lined up. Unfortunately, some seasons and careers will end.
-
I thought Cunningham said on KNOX tonight it's Peluso with 99.
-
Yeah a friend from "warroad" sent a link for NSPN.TV
-
Good lord. 8-0 West Fargo over DL. Mattern with 4 and 1. Mayport Red River 0-0 after 1.
-
3-0 WF after 1 over DL. Pretty lopsided. Mattern with the 3rd goal. No assists on the first 2.
-
Guessing the Magi will let him get 6-8 against Dickinson.
-
Looks like Tuesday games are all still available in the EDC tonight? Second question, why the doesn't the WDA go to a Tuesday QTRF? Saying "travel" is lazy, they travel all year. Devils Lake at WF: Battle of 2 of the best players in the state. Teams split with each winning road games: DL 5-2 and WF 5-3. Mayport at RR: Didn't play. Spoilers at GFC: GFC swept 11-2 and 12-1. North at Davies: Davies swept 7-1 and 4-2. Please advise of any streaming options...particularly for DL/WF and North/Davies.

Any kid who can make the Development Program should bounce. If I lived in Grand Forks, my kid would be staying as long as possible. Nothing wrong with RR or GFC schedule. If you have a great SOPH and JR season and have done all you can in the EDC, I'd say the only reason to leave and forego your SR season is if you are Top 6 (maybe 9) NAHL caliber (4-6 Defense). Development keeps progressing with GF kids who stick it out and make a run at a title to boot. In the West? Easier to give up senior season IMO due to strength of schedule.

Dickinson dominates BHS and Willy dominates Hazen. Final Bracket for WDA: TOP 1 Minot v 9 Dickinson: Minot sweeps 3-1 at Home and 6-1 on the road. 4 Mandan v 5 Jamestown: Teams split. Jamestown wins in Mandan 5-4 in OT, Mandan wins 5-4 in Jamestown in regulation. BOTTOM 2 CHS v 7 Williston: Century sweeps 7-2 in Bismarck and 4-3 in Willison. 3 Legacy v 6 Bott: Teams split with the Sabers winning 5-0 at home and getting Lumberdomed 3-2 in Bottineau. Reminder, Minot hasn't won the post season since 2006, which is wild in itself. From there? Hard to see seeds 1-4 advancing, where will the upsets fall?
-
That's f'ing embarassing. Squirt A, Squirt B1 and then 3 B teams. lol....
-
WDA play ins today: Dickinson at BHS, VFW1 at 1:15 PM. BHS swept the season series 6-4 and 2-0. Game is on PSP Network (post season fee included). Winner gets the Magi. Hazen at Williston, Agri at 2:00 PM. Willy swept the season series 8-1 and 8-1. Winner gets the Patriots.
-
That is the final. PLAY IN Willison v HB BHS v Dicky TOP HALF Minot v BHS/Dicky Mandan V Jamestown BOTTOM CHS V Willy Legacy V Bottineau
-
Final tune up...First time they've been fully rostered since 12/7/2024 against Davies.
-
2 more games out west and they are back to back at VFW1 tonight: Hazen at Legacy for 6. If Legacy does the job, they grab the 3 seed. Jamestown at BHS. If Jamestown wins, they hold the 5, a loss keeps them at 6.
-
Congratulations to Far...I mean the Moorhead Spuds on beating Roseau for the Section. Team ND...I mean Warroad, going for the Section 8 sweep tonight.
-
If I had to guess, Park Christian and Moorhead do not have a CO-OP agreement for Boys Hockey. A similar issue exists in East Grand Forks, where girls who attend Sacred Heart play for Crookston instead of the EGF Girls team. I do know there are agreements with Park Christian and Moorhead for Girls hockey, as that line has been crossed in the past.
-
Things did not go well for West Fargo in their first game without Pat. A 7-0 drubbing from Fargo North with 55 shots given up.

Per Bob Gillen's website: Twenty Six Year Feat Accomplished by States Top Scorers This is my 26th Season as the ND High School Hockey State Statistician and I cannot recall a time over the past twenty-six seasons of what happened tonight [2-11-25] with the top two scorers in the state on the same night in Boys High School Hockey. I do not keep that detailed of stats, but I cannot remember two players on the same day achieving this feat let alone the Top Two Scorers in the State in Boys High School Hockey. Congrats to Bryce and Mackley for their performances tonight! #1-Bryce Mattern F Jr. W.F. Packers 21-GP 46-33 79-Points #2-Mackley Morelli F Sr. Minot High 21-GP 30-31 61-Points --Both Players scored Four Goals in a Period --Both Players had Natural Hatricks in under a Two Minute Span Morelli had a Four Goal First Period with his Natural Hatrick to start the game. He scored his goals in the first period at the following 0:29 / 1:41 / 1:57 then scored his 4th of the Period at 16:34 Mattern had a Four Goal Third Period with his Natural Hatrick to end the game. He scored his goals in the third period at the following 9:19 then rattled off three straight at 15:25 / 16:10 / 16:28

That about does it in the west, assuming Legacy beats Hazen on Friday for 6 points: Sets up: Minot vs BHS/Dickinson winner (toss up) Mandan v Jamestown CHS v Willy/Hazen Legacy v Bottineau
