    Some of that is just laughable. Not trying to rip on the kids who made it but there’s definitely some who deserved better.

    Well onto MN state tourney. Gotta pull for the spuds and warriors for those in the cities who think northern mn is st cloud. Would’ve been fun to see Bentz back with the Spuds this season (thought they lost a couple others too). Would be nice to see Moorhead break through sometime.

    I believe Selkirk in the MJ own his rights north of the border and I believe the NAHL is his dream for his next step, so I imagine he will be "camping" this summer.

    Pretty much meh as we expected. Obviously once the puck dropped the girls still got after it.... Minot was in the Semis against Davies and that crowd was great. 3rd place Minot v Legacy was OK. Other than that, it was like a youth hockey game unfortunately. Not ripping Minot or the facility, they did a great job and the venue was perfect. It's unfortunate that North Davies title game wasn't played in front of 4K fans at Scheels arena because that game deserved it. Apparently, next year they are going to attempt it at WF Sports Arena? Brutal. I do think if they are gonna keep boys and girls separate Fargo is the place to have it since they can draw from 3 fan bases in the metro.

    Noel lives in Moorhead but attends school at Shanley so he's on the wrong side of the river for Team ND activities. He shared goaltending duties with the Spuds Weigel in the Elite league last fall for their team.

    Not sure if the rosters are public, but through the rumor mill most of the "big boys" in the state are there and a few "thanks for coming to tryout" were included. There may have been some who were invited but declined due to spring sports or what have you. Not sure if any have declined due to Juniors for example Sproule, Reynolds Boren, Lang and those types are allegedly there.

    Looked like most of the high end were at NIT this weekend in Jamestown so not sure on that.

    3 seed Mandan and 4 seed West Fargo are eliminated. Century and GF will play for the Consolation trophy.

    I should’ve trusted you with legacy. Too much Vikings fan in me. Played North about a month ago and lost 3-2 in a great game hoping to hang in there tonight.

    Gross atmosphere of course for game 1. BHS girls have been locked down in the BHS gym since 10 am. Were supposed to be just pulling into Minot right now.

    Guessing that's pretty close to how it will play out SiouxperDave. The Minot/WF game will be a battle of goaltenders. I'm a Legacy old man...the girls will have to play damn near perfect with top notch goaltending to beat Mandan. If I had to pick a team to win it today it is indeed Davies. Should be a great tournament.

    Yeah I saw WFAA Bantams in Bismarck. Highly skilled. Smaller bodies with speed and motors. Off-season may be full of "who's sticking around for HS hockey in ND" rumors.

    Pretty sure it's the same coverage as the boys. No PSP with audio feed it doesn't look like. And based on the schools that are there and with hoops going on all over the state I highly doubt there's gonna be any radio stations there.

    Hey I don't blame them. GFC was here in December and beat CHS by one whole goal and Paranica was quoted in the paper talking about enjoying coming out West and how he's a proponent of ND hockey and it's good for the state.....ahhhh....whoops, nevermind. But like I said, I don't blame them, and geography for the WDA is and will always be enemy one. Guessing what goes around comes around regarding other sports...however this is a hockey thread so none of us probably care, not that there's ever much cross over between the 2 school districts.

    You probably could've picked that one last February after watching State. I recall thinking neither South or RR was losing much. Guessing 2023-2024 will be a little more difficult to project. I'm not as familiar with the EDC but in the WDA the Patriots and Sabers return most of their main pieces, they both could take another step if the off-season work is put in....Minot loses 8 seniors (I think), Mandan returns their main core losing 3 SRs, and the way Jamestown improved this season I wouldn't be surprised if they're there again - although they lose a lot of scoring and their tendy who is legit. I imagine the EDC will be a bitch again. Rumor at the rinks is that the GF schools said "no more" to Bismarck schools. Unfortunate with the teams CHS and LHS have the potential to return, however hard to blame GF either. Geography is the west's bitch.

    Probably close to a EDC/WDA type tournament if WF adds a team.

    Statewide league they just take top 8.

    Girls State tournament is set. Davies v Century: I think Davies may be playing the best hockey in the state right now. Minot v WF: Battle of 2 of the best goalies in the state. This one is a toss up. GF v North: North a better team. Have 2 real smooth FR D that are fun to watch. GF hasn’t been playing great the second part of the season but the goalie can keep them in it. Mandan v Legacy-Bismarck: Mandan swept 5-3 and 6-1 early. L'B playing well the past month. Should be a competitive game but the Braves get an edge. It's gonna be tough to beat the boys tournament, but the way the girls season has gone it could certainly happen.

    Great state tournament. Great championship game. Great season. Sad to see it come to an end. Couldn't write a better story than Olsonawski with what his family went through. Regarding the Fargo/GF thing...As a fan, I've always favored Fargo. My son was in Fargo last year and GF this year with the Sabers and when he got home this weekend he said "I wish it was always in Grand Forks." For whatever that's worth...
