    Some big games this week include: legacy at Minot. Mandan at chs, Mandan at legacy, sheyenne at north, south at gfc, north at Davies, north at RR some that stand out on both sides. girls side loaded with key matchups too. Every game counts more for them.

    We've been advised by administrators for boys and girls it’s not about competing or winning it’s about participation and inclusivity. Interested to see if and when Minot splits. Haven’t heard much about hockey. On the girls side there no reason WF shouldn’t be split either based on school sizes, youth numbers and facilities. regarding 2 tiers it would be great. Thinking they’d have to get the junior gold and 19u in smaller towns to be able to pull it off for boys and girls.

    Does edc still do home game for higher seeds round 1? Super odd that EDC and WDA don’t run post season tournaments the same way.

    CHS has been playing well. Beat Minot last week after losing to Mandan 1-0 the day before. Had a 2-1 game v GFC before New Years. Anything can happen at either Region, should be fun.

    GFC and Mandan are there too. Mandan’s goalie has the ability to literally steal games and they are solid in front of him as well. Both WDA and EDC will be fantastic.

    I must’ve jinxed Davies the other day. GFC could potentially get Panzer back before EDC too.

    Logged into Inforum this morning and their were 6 articles on the main page. Perhaps that isn't enough. SDSU was a wagon. Impressive season no doubt. Outplayed in both trenches, skill positions and coaching. I don't think they have an FBS game on the schedule in 2023 (could be wrong), if that's the case they may very well run the table next year with what they have coming back.

    I was thinking that this weekend. There's not that many "blowouts" this season. From what I've seen it's literally who shows up that day no matter which teams are on the ice. The fight for the final 2 state spots will be a dog fight and the state tournament out of those 8 will quite literally be a toss up. At a minimum it would be nice to see some sort of play in system, but your idea sounds fantastic. Not a huge fan of the "6 point" games either. There's some inequity there but it is what it is I guess.

    Yes she is. Get to catch her in the fall with Team ND. Very fun to watch, especially when it's a full team. Unfortunately in DL they just don't have the numbers. She must log about 35+ minutes a night and half the time in D zone has to "conserve energy". But when she does get the puck, watch out. She's relentless. 10 is an extremely good defenseman too.

    Caught Willy this weekend in the capital city. They actually…just played the game, nothing egregious. Speaking of Williston gotta tip the hat to their girls team. They gave NS a heck of a game this weekend and beat WF. They are in great shape to make the state tournament, the final 6 weeks of the girls season is gonna be a brawl. Besides Dickinson it appears any game could go either way. Even DL…although they are thin they may have the best player in the state and another who is up there. Regular season games are must win for some teams with no EDC/WDA or playin opportunity for state. boys side…GFC over North was sort of a surprise. Davies looks to be finding something they gave red river a run and torched Minot 5-1. Big week of HS hockey coming up.

    Bump it up, Time to get back into the swing of things. Lotta action tonight (Jan 3). 10 boys games and 3 girls. On the boys side, CHS gets another crack at Minot. South heading out to Mandan in what very well could be a 1st round state type of matchup in February. Girls side, all 3 matchups should be good this evening. Jamestown beat CHS early in the year, rivals WF and North/South, and Legacy-Bismarck v Minot is a massive 6 point game that'll have a huge affect on the standings come the end of the season.     I wouldn’t fault them. This weekend has done nothing for RR. Meanwhile Minot is over in Roseau for example. Don’t think Bismarck ADs will allow a holiday tourney for their teams.

    There should’ve been but the Zamboni broke down, so the Zam gods showed mercy. not sure that bhs will be showing up on future GF schedules.

    Lumberjacks and sheyenne perhaps would be the best choice. Any game at the lights is cool however.

    GIRLS WF with a nice win over Davies. Mandan, Fargo North, Davies and WF appear to be the top 4 going with the rest of the state up for grabs. Seeds 5-8 will be a toss up and will be a huge battle for the last spot to make the state tournament. 2 Fargo Davies at West Fargo United 4 5 Mandan at Bismarck Century 0 7 Fargo North/South at Grand Forks 0 3 Devils Lake at Jamestown 5 BOYS Legacy 4th OT loss of the season.     Slow week with the storm, although RR did hammer Central and South got Sheyenne 5-0. Gotta be the 2 best teams going as of now.

    Those are absolutely disgusting but don't shock me whatsoever after watching them in the Jamboree in Mandan before the season started.

    Yes he's a SR in HS. He's not committed but I know there's plenty of schools recruiting him, including NCHC (not sure on UND). Ironically enough, in relation to the conversation about players leaving ND, he played in Bismarck through his PW year as did his cousin Kai who is the goaltender in Moorhead (JR).

    Yeah more and more kids are leaving and going to leave. As for Bentz, if you're getting great minutes with the Force it's hard to turn that down.
