I hate to break it to you all, but what you all are claiming to be 3 songs, "Stand Up and Cheer", "Fight On, Sioux", and "It's for You, North Dakota U" are all the same song. I was in the Varsity Bards at UND, and what you all are calling 3 different songs are verses of the same song. I do like everyone's ideas for songs to be played at games, though. Too bad none of us work at the Ralph.

As I said before, I understand the reasons for NDSU not wanting to play UND in 2007, while UND is transitioning to D-1. I truly hope that once 2009 rolls around, UND and NDSU are playing each other in all sports once again. I mean really, how many people can honestly say they don't want to see the annual battle for the Nickel Trophy ever again? To those of you who claim that UND/NDSU are better off not playing each other in athletics ever again, SHAME ON YOU! I am a Sioux fan, but that doesn't mean I can't give "props" to NDSU for the things they have done in the past couple of years. Heck, I was rooting for them when they went down to the Metrodome and walked all over the Golden Chokers. One lousy blocked field goal away from an undefeated season, right? I hadn't rooted for the Bison since BEFORE I went to UND, and learned how to hate them , but I'll root for ANYONE who plays the Gophers.

Not only did Zajac get a goal, Parise got one also. Zach's goal gives him a team-high 26 for the year, according to the Devil's web site. Not too shabby, I'd say.

While I understand the whole "getting penalized for playing a transition school" argument that NDSU is using, I really would appreciate both sides to just quit bitching about the "he said this" and "you said that" crap of the past! WE ARE TALKING ABOUT ONE OF THE LONGEST AND GREATEST RIVALRIES IN ALL OF COLLEGE SPORTS HERE!!! LET'S DO WHAT WE NEED TO DO TO GET THIS RIVALRY GOING AGAIN!!! Oh, and YES, UND SHOULD play in Fargo to re-start this all. After all, the Sioux football team is undefeated in the "SIOUX" Dome.

I agree, especially considering in the last 8 games, the Sioux have scored 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,and 1 goals. The next # in that sequence doesn't look good.

Um I THINK this incident involving the UND players is being compared to an incident that happened at a bar called Blarney's that is located near the U in Minneapolis. While both instances involved hockey players, and minors, and both situations were handled "internally" by the respective coaches, that pretty much ends the similarities. What I think the previous posters were saying was that Kessel, Rypo, and Irmen didn't leave school early because of any involvement they had at Blarney's. Hope this answers your question.

While I hope that Bo does make it in the Show on an everyday basis, I will still go on record as saying he should have stayed 1 MORE YEAR AT UND, and gotten a HAT TRICK against DU in the title game, and assisted on the winning (5th) goal.

Ok, I am aware that UND won BOTH games this weekend. While I do NOT totally agree with Campion being FOR the Gophers accusation that has been thrown out there, I would like to point out some instances of his incompetency. Okposo goes on pretty much a breakaway, and on the replay, it is CLEAR that he dove. I mean, his stick was out in front, and he knocked the UND guy's stick away, then dove to the ice, and got the call. Ok, I can see where from a certain angle, it probably looked like a clear case of hooking. How about this one? A UND player goes after the puck on the faceoff, and trips over the puck, his own skates, something... Campion calls tripping on Lucia. There were bad calls both ways, and while I think UND was WAY BEHIND in the amount of calls for/against, this is all just further proof of the boneheadeness of the league's officials. Just my 4 cents worth.

I have to go somewhat opposite of you, and say UND wins FRIDAY night, by a 3-1 margin, and THEN the Gophs win 5-2 on Saturday.

I have only been to the X once, last year's Final 5, and we were in the club seats, which I thought were great. I also went down to the lower bowl to visit people I knew, and I agree, there really isn't a bad seat in that place.

Are you talking about the Mule Barn, or the Old Pike House? I myself lived in the Pike House, and even though it was a dump, it was OUR dump! I was proud to call it home, and I was the last member to vacate during the flood.

I agree with the thought that the bashing needs to stop. I can't bring myself to truly care about the going-ons of another team, but I still hate to see it happen to a young kid like Hirsch. I guess there are just some parts of the story that none of us are going to know, and it's just too bad that his hockey career seems to have ended in this way.

There was another thread on this board, where it was mentioned that the majority of Duncan's goals are scored top shelf, right side. Saw the highlights of last night's game on the 10 pm news, and wouldn't you know it, that's exactly where he sniped the PP goal last night. I am a believer!

That's the kind of start we needed, to the game and to the 2nd half of this season. Let's keep it up! GO SIOUX!
