Was reading thru all the posts in the closed thread on the Commodore/Greene fight, and just wanted to point out that those 2 never wore a Sioux jersey at the same time. Commodore jumped to the NHL after his Junior year, and I know this because had he been on the ice for the rematch game in '01, Kylanos would NOT have gotten around him to score that goal. Does it suck to see two of our favorite bruisers go at it?, yeah it does. But I'd have been more shocked if they had played together at UND, and then still went toe to toe in the NHL. They both did what had to be done, at the time, and I agree with most people have been saying, I am sure they won't hold a grudge.

Can't believe this game isn't on TV in Fargo. Stupid Cable One...

That was a great article to read, loved the part about Jack Johnson decking some other kid for beaning Crosby with a baseball... Too bad that Jordy Murray didn't follow his brother's footsteps to UND. Can't believe he's gonna be a Badger.

First, I too felt it should have been a goal, and wanted it to be counted. But you said in your own post here why it was disallowed, according to the rule book. You said that the rule is a kicking motion towards the goal line, which it was. No, he didn't try to kick the puck into the net, but, once the puck hit his skate, Lawson's foot moved towards the goal LINE, but it wasn't towards the line that is located between the pipes, it was was towards the LINE outside of the net. Now, I am not defending Greg Shepard in any way, shape, or form, I want him gone from his job, actually. But, by the rulebook's wording, isn't this the correct call? Or am I just trying to impress people with pulling an explanation for this out of my a$$?

Hey Goon, send a letter to Miles Brand, and let him know that then. I doubt he'd even know what hockey is, though. Oh, and since we support the "hostile and abusive" school, then you'd better lie in your letter and claim to be either a Badger or a Gopher fan. THEN, he might actually listen. I totally agree with you on Shepard and his incompetence, though.

And YES, the ESPN guys just confirmed, the replay judge is none other than GRED F'N SHEPARD!!! Distinct kicking motion, my eye. The guy's body weight was moving backward, and yes, he deflected it off his skate, but he did NOT kick it in.

Well, 35 seconds after a disallowed goal from Notre Dame, BC gets goal #4. Wonder if the video replay judge's name is Shepard? Seeing as how the buffoons on the ice are a crew of the WCHA's "finest". Is it October yet?
-
My apologies then. I quoted the wrong person, entirely. Sorry about that.

Are you still complaining? Aren't you the moron that started this thread? Dude, I am just as upset and disappointed as any other fan, but to say that we need a coaching change? Put down whatever you are holding, before you hurt somebody. Think about what you just said in your last statement. 1 TEAM! Name any other team in the NCAA that Hakstol's Sioux teams have played and NOT beaten at least once? Are there any? I can't think of one, honestly. That says that the Sioux do pretty well, all in all. It also means that Jerry York just seems to know how to beat our team. And according to a quote I read that was from him, "it's only a matter of time until Dave brings that trophy back to Grand Forks." You are upset with the fact that our team lost, we get it. Now, get OVER it!

TH didn't ask, and it wasn't the right time to do so, for sure. But he did seem to be giving Oshie the chance to say something, when he asked him "I am sure you can look back and know that it was a good season, but kind of hard to see that right now"... or something to that effect. I also was waiting for Oshie to say he was gonna come back for one last shot. I wish him the best in the NHL, and Finley, Chorney, and Duncan, too. I know we all feel Duncan is 50-50, but I honestly think that if he is smart, he takes whatever offer he happens to get this summer.

What I can't comprehend is how Lammy can shut BC out for 2 periods on their home ice, and just gets shelled on the big stage by them. I don't blame him, this was a team loss, plain and simple. I just can't figure out where this team disappears to for the last 3 Frozen Fours.
-
I can't begin to express my complete disappointment at this time. Just complete and utter domination by BC. Seriously, why didn't they get together earlier this week and finish the game from Oct? That might have gotten our boys ready for today. Oh well, guess we'll just have to reload with new players and move on in the coming years.
-
I am going down with them, too. But I am gonna bitch the whole way to the bottom.

I know that as Sioux fans, we all want to take offense to this. But as I have been saying for the past month, when UND is NOT SUPPOSED to win, they win it all. I have begged for the "Sioux vs. the World" scenario all year, and now it is here. Oshie makes highlight reel plays, JPL is rock-solid, and the Sioux roll to #8.

That pic from CHN has been my desktop background since last night when I first saw it. Before that, it was the one from the day before. Wonder if they will put another cool picture up soon that I can steal. LOL!

Yeah, you gotta love the fact that a defining moment of the team's season is the Captain whooping that land-cow's A$$! I hope to be able to say that another defining moment will be getting the BC Eagle-Monkey off of this team's back, and then ending the season the way they started it, with a 6-0 shutout of a team from the CCHA.
-
Check out the cool graphic over at the College Hockey News website. Old, New, Sioux, and Blue, they call it.
-
I want to see 2 shutouts posted by JPL at the Frozen Four. That will show them all.
-
Obviously, these aren't the same voters who voted for Ryan Miller over Jeff Panzer and Brian Gionta, because those 2 forwards put up some pretty big #s that year too. And Miller's #s were a product of playing a weak CCHA schedule that year, so where is the consistency here?
-
I put this in another thread already, but I'll post it here, also. 4 Seniors + 4 Frozen Fours = Title #8
-
Here's a sign idea for someone who is going to Denver. 4 Seniors + 4 Frozen Fours = 8 National Titles. I originally was trying to work in the 4 guys who chose to come back, but there are 10 juniors on this team, so had to come up with another way to make 8.
-
How early are we talking? If they don't play until 4pm Mountain Time, I won't get to see it, as I will be at work. If they play earlier, I'll get to watch. GO SIOUX!!! BEAT THEM EAGLES!!!!
-
DID I ASK YOU FOR YOUR OPINION?!? I don't recall doing so, if I did. First off, I have nothing against Goon, I find what he writes to be entertaining, and since I am a biased Sioux fan, I tend to gravitate towards others of my kind. Second, I can go anywhere on the web and read about who thinks UND will win/not win, and who thinks that Michigan/Miami are the "ones to beat." Next time I want your advice, which I hope is NEVER, I will ask for it.
-
I saw over on Goon's World that he has talked about how none of the "experts" are giving UND any chance to get out of the MidWest regional. I say "HOORAY!" The last 2 titles UND won were when they weren't "supposed to". I was begging for the "Sioux against the world" scenario, and now it looks like we have exactly that! Bring on the competition! GO SIOUX!!
