Is the internet audio down, or is it just my computer?

So, has there been any word yet about what the WCHA is going to do with Bucky's appeal? I know most of feel they will do nothing, but I am wondering if any official word has come out.

Yeah, Puffy is a Gopher Homer, no doubt, but if you can get past that, he DOES have a pretty good sports mind. I have been listening to him and PA in their morning show, and once I was able to get past his "maroon and gold bias", I found him entertaining. Glad to see the Sioux get back on track tonight, though!

Sic, I got it too. And for those of you who don't, you probably spent more time playing sports than reading comic books. I however, spent my youth doing both.

10 days now since this thread was started, and still he hasn't signed. I know, 10 days is nothing, but I'll keep counting the days til the season starts, as long he doesn't sign.

Chicago's web site has an announcement that they won the draft lottery, and will pick first. There IS NOTHIHG on there about JT signing today, or anything other than an article comparing his skills to Yzerman. I didn't read the article, so maybe something is in there, but I saw nothing on the main page about JT signing.

OK, so we all KNOW that he is gone. Personally, I'll just go to bed at night dreaming about the DOT line making another run at title #8 in '08. I think I heard the Lucia pet say it best about kids leaving college early for the pros. DOMINATE at this level, then go on to the next one. I haven't seen any domination out of our boys yet, so by that definition, they should stay.

Ok, I am pumped for the Frozen Four. I love the fact that this is the 3rd Frozen Four for the Sioux under coach Hakstol, and I am gonna go out on a limb and make a prediction. The Sioux take revenge on BC, since last year they absolutely ROBBED us of a chance to keep Wiskey from winning it all. THEN, in the championship game, the Sioux win due to (going with a theme here) in the THIRD period, the THIRD shot on goal in said period, a goal will be scored by the # 21. I don't think anyone on the team wears #3, so I have stick with 2+1... You heard it here first, 3rd period, 3rd shot by the Sioux in the third, GW goal scored by Eric Fabian...

The West Regional is for sure the hardest bracket in this tournament. I think the National Champ is the team that wins the West, but I don't want it to be Michigan. Here is something that I have been bothered by in the past week or so; In the past few years, the Sioux have been the team that has flown under the radar, and "overachieved" in the media's mind, at least. When Doug Woog, and ESPN commentators start giving the nod to ND, I get nervous. There was nothing better than seeing the Sioux win when they weren't SUPPOSED to win, and now, I fear they have the target on their backs. This team, and Coach Hakstol, don't really give out "bulletin board" material for the other team. None of them run their mouth, or say something that gets quoted as bashing the other team. The Wooger comes out and says on the radio that he thinks UND takes the Broadmoor, and suddenly the Gophers have something to prove. You could even tell in their postgame comments, things like "We wanted to show we could play with anybody", etc... I guess what I am saying is, will somebody PLEASE COME OUT AND SAY THAT THE SIOUX HAVE NO CHANCE OF WINNING IT ALL THIS YEAR?!? Then, maybe I'll feel better.

Good thing I didn't pick Tech to win any games over on the USCHO pick 'em thread. At least, I don't THINK I did... Either way, my streak appears to be over.

Ok, I don't know if I should press my luck after the first round, but I gotta try it, just to give my support to my team. Here's what I HOPE happens at the Final Five. Tech beats Wisco, since Tech swept UND at home, we want them to remain a TUC, for sure. UND gets by St. Cloud, then Minnesota beats Tech Friday night. Tech comes back Saturday afternoon and beats St. Cloud, UND beats the Gophers Saturday night, which means that St. Cloud, with 2 losses on the weekend, drops to #5 in the pairwise, UND with 2 wins moves up to 4, and gets a #1 seed. Of course, this only happens with certain other teams winning/losing in their respective conferences, but hey, we can only worry about our own, right?

I too, thought it was scary. And unfortunately for me, I never put any money down on any of this... Now, I was wrong about the scores in the Wisco/DU series, Elliot gave up more goals than I hoped he would. I just put down what I wanted to see happen in all of the 5 matchups, and it happened to work out that way. Over on USCHO, I entered the same picks for a perfect score in the pick-em contest thread, but if I end up tying with somebody else, I blew the tiebreakers. I only picked 2 OT games for the entire playoffs! LOL. By the way, what is the powerball jackpot up to now?

Well, so far I have the correct # of games for each series, and I was dead-on with the Saturday night let-down at the John...

Pat, I'll go with you on this one, we really can't complain and try to have things "both ways" in our players' favor. And as far as Ryan Miller goes, with all of his shutouts he had that year, and his Hobey Baker Award, he lost to UND in the Frozen Four after ONE SHOT ON GOAL.

I find it hard to be upset about the Devils w Zajac/Parise losing when it's to another team one of "our boys" plays for.

You know what Smoggy, I think you are right, and I am wrong. Now that I think about it, I remember Doc Rhode telling us we were going to sing the Fight SongS, not the "Fight Song". I stand corrected, and am humbled, for once.

I agree with you completely, I would LOVE to see UW/DU go three games. I just didn't predict that, because I thought I might be being too greedy.

Ok, here is what I sincerely HOPE happens: UAA takes MN to 3 games, due to a Saturday night let-down. Games 1 and 3 are blowouts by the Gophs. UMD takes SCSU to 3 games, but Bobby G. pulls the huskies thru. UND takes 2 games to send Mankato to the golf course for the spring. UW beats DU in 2, Elliot only gives up 1 goal, somehow, UW scores 2 goals in each game. MTU takes CC in 3, they are just working too darn hard to be denied a trip to St. Paul.
