Well, if we are making requests, I want Osh to get a hattrick in each of his next 4 collegiate games.

Mine saved. Frozen Four: Air Force UND St. Cloud CC UND over Air Force CC over St. Cloud UND over CC

Yeah, I am gonna go with the "worst post ever" crowd and tell you to think before you speak/type. I used to have the same problem when I was a lot younger, and trust me, you'll grow out of it. Oh, and I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure the Sioux player that was draped on Wheeler's back last year at the Final Five was Brian Lee, NOT Joe Finley. Someone please tell me if I am wrong, because if I am, I'll shut up. Never mind, as USUAL, I am NOT wrong. So, if you have any problems with Big Joe, take them up with him, and I hope you get a stick across the forehead.

Ok, going to make my picks, and bear in mind I printed out a bracket, and just wrote in the names of what I think is going to happen. Air Force vs. Miami - Air Force The kings of the cupcake schedule have no chance against a team from a service academy, even if it IS the Air Force. Minnesota vs. BC - Minnesota Air Force vs. Minnesota- Air Force This is purely on payback for last year, and I see Air Force exercising some demons and getting to Denver. Wisconsin vs. Denver - Wisconsin. Why? The game is in Madison, and the whole disallowed goal thing will be the Badger's motivation to send DU packing. Princeton vs. North Dakota- North Dakota 4 players came back to UND for ONE REASON, and it is time for them to go out and get it. ND vs. Wisconsin- North Dakota, see above reason why. Michigan vs. Niagara - Michigan. Because it be St. Cloud's job to beat them, that's why. St. Cloud State vs Clarkson - St. Cloud Because they have to beat Michigan, that's why. St Cloud vs. Michigan- St. Cloud does their best to make it an all WCHA Frozen Four, but Minnesota already let Air Force sneak in, so we'll take 2 out of 4 so far... Notre Dame vs. New Hampshire - New Hampshire There is only room for ONE ND in the Frozen Four, and it's not the Catholic School. Michigan St. vs. Colorado College - C.C. It's their rink, and there is not going to be any repeat champs this year. New Hampshire vs. C.C.- C.C. CC gets payback for their trip out east earlier this season, and makes it 3 WCHA teams in the Frozen Four. St. Cloud vs. C.C.- C.C. Air Force vs. North Dakota - North Dakota North Dakota beats C.C. in Denver for title #8.

Personally, I am glad that the Gophers won, and I am a Sioux fan. Here's why I can swallow my resentment and hatred of all things Rodent for one night. Ok, so SCSU just lost in the Final Five. This means they stay down around a 3 or a 4 seed in the NCAA's. I firmly believe this year's St. Cloud team will NOT be the usual one and down variety, and that they will knock off somebody from another conference in the tournament. I have hopes that it will be either UNH, Michigan, or Miami. I think the Gophers just did everyone else in the tournament a BIG favor, by making sure the Huskies get the chance to do this.

Thank you Whistler, it works great! Sprig, thank you, also.

I have found one link for internet audio so far for this game, and of course, it won't let me use FireFox to listen to it. I don't have time to explain it all, but lets just say where I work has things blocked if I used Internet Explorer, but NOT if I use FireFox and a proxy. I am wanting to listen to this game tonight, if anyone has any working links to it, I would be grateful.

OH PLEASE, PLEASE LET THIS ONE GET SHOWN ON TV! I will probably wet myself from laughing so hard! Also, since Woog made the comment last weekend about people in wheelchairs, maybe you could have a sign that says something like: Thank you Wooger 4 working well with the handicapped! (INSERT PICTURE OF MAZZACCO HERE)

Why's that Sagard?

And you would be completely correct in that statement about turn-around time. I just saw the post above where you were talking about giving the #1 seed the prime-time slot. I truly believe that to be fair, you have to give the play-in winner a few more hours to recover. And that was why I had such a problem with letting the Gophs play the Friday night game, no matter what they were seeded as. Siouxyeahyeah, I completely apologize, I didn't read your entire post before I fired off my mouth. Sorry about that.
-
Ok, did you all NOT read what I said before? #1, no matter who it is plays the winner of the Thursday night game, whomever it is. It really has nothing to do with the #1 seed, it has to do with giving the team that just PLAYED a game in less than 24 hours a few more hours break before they play again. That is why, the so-called "Minnesota rule" sucked. Someone already mentioned 2005, the Sioux played on Thursday night, and because the Goofs were NOT the #1 seed, the Sioux had to play again Friday afternoon, against Denver, the # 1 seed. Is it all making sense now?
-
Here is the reason the "Minnesota rule" sucked for the play-in teams. If the Gophers were the #2(or3) seed, which would normally play the afternoon game against the #3(or2) team, they would get to move that game to Friday night, to boost attendance. Now, the winner of the 4/5 teams has to play the #1 seed in the afternoon. If the Gophs happened to be the #1 seed, then the rule didn't apply, the winner of the Thursday night game wouldn't play again until Friday night. Now, if the Gophs do NOT make the Final Five, the highest seeded team will be playing the winner of the Thursday night game on Friday night. Even if the Goofs do make it through the first round, they have to play Thursday night, and if they win, again on Friday night. To answer everyone's question about when the Sioux will be playing, UND will be playing Friday afternoon, UNLESS CC happens to get beaten by the Seawolves (which is doubtful). There, now I am done, and will get off my soapbox. and due to the fact that the Sioux have yet to play their best of 3 series, what I stated above about when they play depends upon them winning 2 games this weekend. There, now I am not overlooking Tech.

I know a lot of you out there have DVR, and record the games. I would like to get a copy of the Saturday night St. Cloud game. My daughter was on scoreboard in between the 1st and 2nd periods, holding up her sign that said "My 1st Sioux Game!". I am not even sure if they showed her on TV, but if they did, I would like to have this to keep. Thanks!

#1 CC vs. #10 Alaska-Anchorage - These games won't even be close, CC will roll to a 2 game sweep and onto St. Paul. #2 UND vs. #9 Michigan Tech - Sioux in 2. In spite of injuries and illnesses, the unbeaten streak rolls on. #3 DU vs #8 UMD - DU in 3, although I am not even sure where Duluth will get scoring from to win the one game. Maybe DU will score on themselves? #4 MSUM vs. #7 UM - Mavs in 3, meaning a Gooper-less Final 5. #5 St. Cloud vs #6 Wisconsin - Badgers in 3. I don't like St. Cloud, and I don't think they will be the usual one and done in the Dance this year. Assuming they get invited, JBSU will win a game in the NCAA's this year. And if losing in the first round of WCHA playoffs keeps them out of the field of 16, I am fine with that.

Ok, tonight was the first game I made it to this year. Took my 7 year old daughter to her first Sioux game. We got to the arena, and were waiting at the concession line near our section. My wife's step-father was at the game, a guest of Rydell Chevrolet, in the suite level. He and my mother in law were attending, so he came upstairs to bring my daughter and I down to the suite level. My daughter was on the scoreboard, holding up the sign I made for her, which said "My 1st Sioux Game!" She loved it! Anyways, enough of the good stuff. I missed seeing what happed to Oshie, and it was about 7-8 minutes in that I noticed he wasn't on his usual line, and I couldn't see him on the bench. Hope that injury isn't too serious. As far as the rest of the game went, I wasn't too impressed. Defense looked great, most of the time, and JPL was solid. Offensively, it didn't look too good. Although, in our team's defense, St. Cloud did a pretty good job of jamming the forwards when they came into the zone, not letting them shoot. When the Sioux did get a shot off, it was usually right into their goalie. The 2nd goal by the Sioux was a great tip, wish a few more of those would have happened. One thing I am soooooooooooooooooooo happy for, it's playoff time, meaning NO MORE TIES!!!

How about u all just chant "J P L" clap, clap, clap wow, it takes a YANKEES fan to explain the role call, huh?
-
I'll be in the upper deck, in 306A, row E, seats 31 and 32. First game I am getting to this year, taking my 7 year old daughter to her first game. She says I better not scream in public like I do at the TV. Little does she know...
-
I am not uneasy, per say, but I hear where you are coming from... hope we get Genoway back for this weekend. Either way BRING ON ST. CLOWN!!! (aka Jan Brady State...)
-
Next weekend, my 2 favorite teams are the Sioux (obviously) and DENVER! GO PIOS, SWEEP THEM TIGERS!
-
NOW THAT is a well-stated post!!! I completely agree J/K, I am glad someone found a way to say what I feel far more intelligently than I could have!
-
I like the thought of UND having the easiest road to the FF, although none of the regions look like cake-walks. One thing I like about this year is that with all the people complaining about the Sioux being goons, it has set the ground-work for the "Sioux vs. the World" situation that tends to lead to National Titles. The last 2 titles UND has won, they didn't get very much respect from the so-called experts. Let Michigan and Miami be the pundits' picks to win it all, the Sioux will just keep rolling all the way to the end.

Waiting VERY IMPATIENTLY for this weeks edition... What can I say? I get bored at work! Browsing college hockey articles kills time for me, and Moy is letting me down tonight.
-
Maybe this was made public somewhere else, but WHY was Trotter going to be suspended? Or is the dasher troll still keeping that quiet?
-
What I am failing to understand in all of this talking everyone wants to do now is how nobody seems to want to just put this all on the rivalry that is Sioux/Gopher Hockey. I mean, think about it. When was the last time a Sioux/Gopher game DIDN'T involve some sort of scuffle? Is either side innocent? HECK NO! Was Hakstol in the wrong, flipping the bird at Adam? Yes he was, he admitted as much. Was it necessary for Zajac to take down Anderson? Maybe, maybe not. We weren't there, we didn't hear what was said, we don't know what he saw/thought he saw. I don't have a problem with what he did, just as I don't have a problem with Lucia-pet Jr doing what he did. I am glad that we aren't going to be missing Finley in 2 weeks, although I would have LOVED to see him and Wheels throw down. Bottom line is, out of 8 points against MN, our boys got 5 of them. This past weekend is over and done with, so the boys better get ready for the next game/series.

Yeah, I think we should all call Cable One and scream at them...j/k. Seriously, what is going on? Cutting out of a game in mid-action? Hope it's just problems at the arena, not that they are pulling the coverage. Never mind, the feed to the Mooch is back on. GO SIOUX!!!!
