Just watched the replay again. Smaby may have touched the puck, but it was immediately poked checked off by the Wisco player. It still doesn't change that Parise was looking behind the net, didn't stop the puck from coming out front and then had no chance of recovering.
After 1 thoughts:
Neither goalie played well. "Ugh" is all I can say about Parise letting that first one in.
SHOOT LOW on Bruckler. The guy has a great glove and uses it. Plus, he doesn't utilized the butterfly.
Neither offense played well even though they both scored two goals. UW's second was a fluke bounce from behind the net that Parise whiffed on and it went right to a UW player's stick. Both Sioux goals on the rush.
Great move by Fabian.
What's with our offense and keeping all three forwards behind the goal line? You can't score from there.
Didn't see any of the penalties. No replays coming from FSN.
Blais is wearing red. You'd think he'd know better.
My point exactly a year ago when this same topic was being discussed. Most schools/fans are driving distance from the X. So give them a chance to drive down on Friday instead of Thursday night.
The X will still be sold out and I bet most people will still be in their seats for the night game even if the Gophers aren't in it.
I personally think they could have gotten more for Moss. And to make things worse, I'll have to hear non-stop about what a better deal the Raiders got. At least the Vikes were smart enough to trade him to the AFC.
The MInny men's team also had a Marvin as a goalie a few years ago. Though I'm not sure that UND really recruited him. In fact, he may have walked on at MN.
It almost seems like Lammy is a getting off his game. The UAA announcers saying he tried to slash a player. Plus, it sounds like he's really been complaining to the refs.
With UM-Lowell sweeping BC, the Sioux are really hurting now in the PWR without the bonus. We've dropped to 13th. I'm not sure how much winning tonight will do for us moving, but next weekend against UW will be huge.
Actually at rinks I've gone too, I find the price to be OK. I went to games in LA and with parking being around $15, I still watched the game from about ten rows behind the goalie for less than $60 total (including parking, pop, etc.) on the night.
I've been kind of thinking the same thing about UMD. I'm really curious to see how they respond tonight against DU. And unfortunately, I guess it's "go du."
Gilcrest has a separated shoulder for UAA that he injured in this game. Also their #1 goalie Lawsen will probably not play again tomorrow due to his groin injury.
Boy would I have loved to be a fly on the wall during that 2nd intermission.
Someone listening to TH, can you put a little recap on the coach's interview? I'm really curious who took charge in that locker room.
