The biggest problem I have with the rule is fairness to the fans. As I have mentioned before, it's not fair that "out-of-state" (man does that bug me about Twin City folk when they refer to the Northern MN) fans have to wake at the butt crack of dawn to make it to the afternoon game, when it should be at night. Personally, you'd think the WCHA would want more teams in. That being said, the Gopher Rule has screwed teams over before by having them play immediately in the afternoon. Could happen to UW this year. The extra rest doesn't matter for the third place game, because at that point the players are worn out.

I think you're right. Especially, because I believe a crap team will win the CCHA. ie someone other than UM.

They have a few injuries right now. Plus, one of UAH knee-on-kneed a BSU player and he had to be helped off the ice. So I'm sure he's out.

And I'm stuck at work for the Thurs night and Fri afternoon if we're in it.

I can actually see BSU giving somebody a scare in the tourney.

As was noted in another thread... It's better for Wisco to win and therefore knocking UAA away from being a TUC. Wisco is 4-1 against them. UAA's RPI is hanging right on .5000 right now.

That's the kind of stuff I like to hear. It seems to me that these boys gained a whole season's worth of confidence in one weekend. I don't think they are over-confident by any means. They know the job isn't finished. At the same time it seems they have now figured out how to finish the job.

I'm with you on that, but it sure would be nice if Tim is right.
