CAA Football leads all conferences with 15 selections each from nine member schools. The Big Sky and Southland conferences have 14 selections each and the Southern Conference follows with 13. anyone see the ncc2.1 football conference on this list?

almost everyone would have a true travel partner um/msu und/ndsu idaho/eastern washington portland/sacramento idaho state/weber state suu/nau davis/poly unc/nmsu (really the only bad one)

i just don't see idaho ever getting an invite to the mwc...plus i don't see nm letting nmsu ever into the mwc either...which leaves the big sky or independent? so to get to 14/16 i would great to see the big sky add idaho, nmsu, and yes ndac. but i don't like affiliate stuff so if the big sky added those three schools i would be all for asking/telling poly and davis that its all or nothing and split into two eight team divsions for all sports... north montana montanta state und ndsu idaho isu weber state eastern washington south portland sacramento davis poly nau suu unc nmsu i think the big sky would be a stronger conference than either the mac or the sun belt

Sica ur next....as for the reapers what would your logo look like? a scythe or a drone? and remember whatever the new logo, nickname, and mascot it has to make und money!!! a cool sounding name is one thing but to actually make a logo that would sell is another thing. as for norse being a knockoff of the vikings...nothing is more of a ripoff than the north stars

as for FBS or FCS once all this realignment stuff goes down (maybe after july 1st?) you will have the pac 12, big 12, big 10, sec, and maybe the acc and big east and everyone else will be technically fcs anyways....the only difference is that the people in missoula and bozeman primarily want local kids to represent their school and would rather play for a championship on the field instead of some San Francisco Bowl against Eastern Michigan? is arkansas state and their 9 million dollars athletic budget more FBS than UND and their 19 million dollar budget and for that matter NDAC and their 14 million dollar budget?

It's about as similar to the word sioux as your gonna get and i think the marketing opportunities are endless when it comes to making money for the athletic department...i do like some others around here but in the long run Fighting Norse is my favorite by far. Norse=Sioux--five letters here comes your fighting norsssssssssssssssssssssse scoring works hockey jersey would look almost exactly the same as the old sioux jerseys if ben brien did the new norsehead logo a mjonir would a great secondary logo---would look nice crossed over on the shoulder of the new hockey jersey like the old crossed tomahawks.... a student dressed up like thor would be a cool mascot..(no thunder the bleacher creature tho)!! plus its an in ur face to the pc crown where one logo is h&a and the other is perfectly fine? i do like reapers, plainsman (gender issues with the man ending?), and cavalry also..

got a buddy of mine that is pretty good at logo's so he is working on making a new hockey jersey with the norse name and a norse warrior head...this (profile pic) is something he just threw to together to ask me if this is what i was looking for....can't wait to see the end result with an original "fighting norse" logo on a hockey jersey

i disagree about the new engelstad having a bad atmosphere at first...i think people were just in awe of the bulding for the first ten years!!!! i like the betty...i just think in the long run it isn't what the bball teams need and i think hardee could be a real player in womens volleyball if that whole facility was his and his only.... i've read on here that dave fennell is worth over a billion dollars and the powers that be at und are trying to get him to be the ralph of the football program? between him and chipman you have a couple of guys that could write some checks payable to "und football"

i guess there are three options for football down the road....the first being staying at the alerus, the second returning to memorial, or the third the retractable roof fennell stadium? i don't like the alerus and i'm not sure if the fennell rumor has any truth to it so i'm all for going back to memorial... as for the abestos abatement at hyslop...is is true that if your gonna tear down something with a lot of abestos in it you have to take it out anyways or do you just have to keep it watered down with firetrucks during demo? in the meanwhile i'm all for putting down the court right where it used to be at hyslop and calling it good....the betty has no atmosphere whatsoever (the great west didn't help any tho)

of all the teams that came through the transition ready to go its the women's volleyball team...i think coach hardee is ready to do some special things in the next few years...imagine what hardee could do if faison walked up to him and gave him the keys to the whole betty sioux center? what a huge recruiting tool that would be? as for hyslop i've said for a couple of years now...."bring back hyslop hysteria"!! move the court west a little to center it and enclose the upper bowl to connect the north side with the south side(or do kind like at the ralph and create an upstairs bar area overlooking the court?). use the newly created area underneath the new east bleachers for a new weight room or locker room? hyslop was a little crowed back in the day but if the ipf takes t&f, betty takes volleyball, the mens and womens bball would have the hyslop to themselves? make it seat around 6k or 7k? while i'm at it....new grandstand on the east side of memorial stadium connected underground tothe ipf? shift the field to the west a little to get it closer to the existing seats and build a new east side with state of the art press box and make it match the east side in terms of style and brick color? put some bleachers in the endzone areas and take down the ugly chain link fence on teh south side and make it look like the north side with brick and metal gate? make it sit around 20k?

could it be that management at the alerus changed their mind on the design on the new fb field and decided that the alerus center logo's needed to be bigger?

I mentioned this a couple of months back about playing at tcf....winner of the game hosts the first game back on campus? how many people do you think would show up at tcf?

fullerton holds all the cards with idaho...tell them all or nothing. new mexico state would be a nice get for the bsc....they def have more options (not that many tho) than idaho. i like your idea of taking just the oly sports for idaho to suffocate the wac a little bit...evil?

As long as the Gateway Conference doesn't change i don't see the NDAC going anywhere...football still drives the bus down there and the Gateway conference is still a very good league when it comes to football and so far it is pretty stable in terms of members staying put. Also on the live chat someone mentioned a "Skunkapekiller manifesto 2.0"....i looked in up on google and it is pretty interesting....

So you would rather have NDAC in their current situation playing football in one conference and their olympic sports with these schools... uno sdsu usd uipfw um-kc scsu gvsu instead of one conference for everything? ok then?

So Johnnyboy is kind of like UND's "hockey only" crowd? I still laugh when I tell people that I know are "hockey only fans" that I'm heading to a Sioux game and they panic and say "I thought they were in Madison this weekend?" I then tell them I'm going to a basketball game which is then followed by the "i'm michael jordan" look of disappointment on their faces.
