Yah, I don’t get it. Westin’s one of the toughest players I’ve ever seen. He’s small, takes a lot of hits, but his motor never stops running.

No, but I bet the players and coaches do.

There’s history between Michaud and Western. He had a great first round playoff series against the Broncos last March and there was a lot of back and forth chirping going on. Plus, he visited Western this summer when he was deciding where to transfer so there’s probably that element too.

If the Gophers do it, it’s juvenile and classless.

I guess I take a different perspective. UND was killing penalties for half the 2nd period which led in large part for all the shots Western got (18 alone on the PP, I believe). I thought defensively, UND played very well, especially given the talent the Broncos have at the forward position.

Wasn’t there a Superman movie where Lex Luther was buying up land in the desert so that he could blow up the California coast and then have brand new oceanfront property?

I went down to ASU for a series last December at Oceanside Arena. The place is a total dump. I’ve seen high school arenas better than that. The great irony is that it’s named Oceanside Arena. That said, it should be mentioned, that they’re building a 5,000 seat arena on campus.

I don’t think UND played so bad or weren’t that sharp. Western is a tough team and it seemed really hard to break their walls in front of the net. I think they blocked about 20 shots too so they were really good defensively, until the turnover in OT.

One of my all-time favorite YouTube videos is a UND/Western game from, I believe, the 2014-2015 season. Ben Holden and Dave Starman covered it. I love watching Andy Murray lose his marbles around the minute thirty mark of this video!

This is the same program that refused to play Denver in the 1960’s because they didn’t think it was fair that Murray Armstrong was recruiting Canadian “men.” There’s a good historical series written by Puck Swami on Letsgodu! And in part one, he discusses the shenanigans Minnesota pulled with the NCAA and how, I think it was the 1973 DU team wasn’t allowed to play in the tournament.

Some of them were bitching about how much older our Canadian boys are compared to their innocent kids.

Apparently, only Gopher fans are the judges of fine cuisine.

Is there discrepancy between what Gophers homers say is the overall win/loss record between the two teams and what we say it is? I seem to recall a difference between the two stats.

Did they say Bowen had a big block at the very end?
