  1. Olson definitely deserves to wear a letter for what he does on the ice and in the locker room.
  2. Point taken but no guarantee UND will make it to the big dance to play a blue blood like Arizona year in and year out. How much financial benefit did UND get out of that game?
  3. Question: Was the decision to go D-I in all sports part of the reason for the school's current budget issues? Perhaps staying D-II in all sports except men's hockey and a women's team to comply with Title Nine might have saved swimming and the other sports recently cut? My understanding was that to move to D-I involved a massive financial commitment (more scholarships, improvements to facilities, coaches pay, etc).
  4. It kills me that CC was interested in hiring Bazin as he had ties having served as an assistant under Owens. Unfortunately for Tigers fans, he was happy building Lowell into the national power they are today. To think where CC might be today under Bazin compared to what we've got now...
  5. Man, lots of hand wringing over on GPL. The "FIRE LUCIA" voices seem to only grow louder. One Gopher fan put it so elequantly when he said Lucia does so little with so much and it got me to thinking that after Air Force's performance this weekend, Coach Frank Serratore seems to do so much with so little. Can't think of a program that faces as many hurdles as the Air Force Academy and here they were, giving Harvard a run for their money.
  6. Winner winner chicken parm dinner. He likes to say that too.
  7. The Drake would never use such language!!! He was mis-quoted!
  8. Did anyone hear the potty mouth on the Harvard player just now? "I never f'ing puck!"
  9. I do too man but remember that had we won, BU fans would've been having some of the same what ifs. But yah, I feel your pain, that's a tough way to lose but I'm so proud that they boys battled and even got themselves in the position to win in sudden death. Nothing will diminish how proud we all are of UND's never say die attitude, hustle, and work ethic. Many other teams would've picked it in down two goals late in the third. Not North Dakota.
  10. Kick in the stones to lose. That said, UND's tenacity and fight, particularly down the stretch in the third, is the reason why I love and respect the hell out of this program.
  11. How the heck did Providence get rewarded by being placed in the Providence regional? Seems like a plumb reward for having barely squeaked into the tournament.
  12. I really don't want Duluth in our regional. Say what you will about the officiating tonight, we don't match up as well against them (assuming we take care of business in the first round).
  13. Don't understand how Ohio State got in over Providence?
  14. It appears that Butcher, Gambrell, Terry, and Borgstrom are scratches tonight. Plus, Cowley is in net.
  15. Anyone know if Montgomery has his studs as healthy scratches for the third place game? (He did that last year)
  16. Sad that Minnesota couldn't get at least a thousand fans to Detroit. That's gotta be an easy, quick, and relatively inexpensive flight from Mpls to Detroit.
  17. Am I quoting this correctly....."Better warm up the bus!"
  18. Boeser getting cute near our blue line late in the period on the PP. Dang near cost us.
  19. Mafia Man, what do you think of Ohio State's buckets?
  20. Sounds like our beer leagues-bleachers packed with roughly a half dozen girlfriends and/or wives.
  21. Hi, I have two tickets for sale for all four games. They are in section 113, Row Y, seats 1 & 2, right next to my and my wife's seats). Great seats-upper section of the lower bowl and right near the exit to the concourse. I'm simply looking to get what I paid for them which was $290. These commemorative tickets come with coupons for discounted Frozen Faceoff merchandise, free soda/beer coupons, a complimentary Frozen Faceoff program, and priority entry into the Target Center a half hour before the general public for both days. If interested, please call me at 701-335-9035. Thanks, Dan Maddock
