Not to mention, in normal years, the ECAC schools-at least the Ivies-don’t start playing games until a month after the rest of the conferences have started. I follow Cornell and see that after teams like UND and virtually everybody else have had 4-6 games under their belt, they’re just getting in their first warm up game against a Canadian University. Why do they do that?

It would be nice if somehow, the NCHC could reclaim it.

Given how crappy he was treated when let go, it would be a nice project to try to rebuild DU’s rivals to the south.

Do you go for a big name splash or bring in a younger assistant coach? Could/would any of the assistants at UND or other NCHC programs be intrigued?

Even though Gwoz is older, yah-bring him in to clean up the program and get it back on its feet.

If I’m CC, I’d consider everyone, including Jim Montgomery and George Gwozdecky (if they were at all interested).

I don’t know. Doubt it but they’re consistently good in Colorado.

And making a King’s ransom doing it. Lot’s of $ flows into Valor Christian.

A little surprised he didn’t stay at least through next season with the opening of Robson Arena but it’s probably the best for everyone. The program needs a change in leadership.

Is there serious talk of expanding the tournament?

The committee doesn’t want too many more west teams in relative to the number of east teams. They’ll figure out a way to mess this selection process up.

If St. Lawrence wins today, does the ECAC get them and Quinnipiac into the tournament?

DU’s argument of why them instead of Omaha is that they had a better head to head record but to me, Omaha had a much better overall record, they took care of their overall conference business better than DU did and to me, that should count for more than their head to head. Head to head should only come into play if it’s a tie breaker situation.

Do you think DU has an outside chance of getting in?
