Rough night for the NCHC thus far. 1-4 with T three games currently being played.

Yah, it felt like we were hanging on for dear life through much of the second half of the game. Didn’t seem like we generated any sustain O zone pressure. Minnesota have better skaters?

I wonder what the faceoffs were. Felt like we were winning several down the stretch but overall felt like Minnesota won more of them.

If I recall, weren’t we getting outplayed for most of the first two periods? If not for stepper goaltending the score might have been out of reach correct?

To this day, I’m baffled where that puck ended up in the net. All I hear is, “KLANG!” Did it go off one of the posts and in?

However, Motzko gets last line change so that might diminish our ability to play the Sendo-Jammer-Hain against Minnesota’s top line.

This is the second week in a row AF has blown a big lead. Last week, they blew two 3 goal leads at home against Notre Dame.

I’m not on Twitter so gotta ask, was Mavpuck offended? -I would think UND fans would be pissed if a visiting player showboated like that at the Ralph.

I know, I couldn’t believe I was that bored I sat through 60 minutes of listening to Gopher hockey talk but I will listen at least once more just to hear what the GPL hosts and Schloss have to say about the upcoming series.

A letter from the CC President I just received regarding the incident last night.

So, remember last year how Omaha got out of the blocks with a 7-1 record and were ranked in the top 15? -their non-conference opposition was against nothing but cupcakes. When the Mavericks hit league play, they came back to reality. Also, their first 8 games were all played at home. I just looked up Omaha’s non-conference schedule for this year and they face similar opposition-Long Island, St. Lawrence, Niagra, Alaska Fairbanks, and Lake Superior (the best of the bunch). Those teams’ combined record last year was, 64-98-16. A big risk to loading up your non-conference schedule with weak opponents is, if you lose it’s gotta be absolutely brutal to your pairwise ranking.

I just listened to the most recent GPL podcast and they announced that next week, their guest will be Schlossman to preview the UND/Gopher series. Just thought I’d share that with the group if you’d care to listen to it once it’s posted. You can subscribe to GPL on YouTube.

Wow, makes me question whether or not it’s worth my time reading Semisch’s article. In about two minutes time, he could’ve done his due diligence and caught his inaccuracies before sending the article off to print.

Hey gang, I just checked Ticketmaster and there are a fair amount of tickets up for sale for the UND at CC series in February. I just wanted to bring this to everyone’s attention in case you are thinking that you’d like to go. As that weekend gets closer, those tickets will likely become less available and more expensive. I saw asking prices right now as low as $35 for Friday and as low as $30 for Saturday. Given CC did not include a General Admission or visitors section in the new arena, the only way for UND fans to go is to buy others’ tickets on the second hand market. I’d just as soon see you all be able to get tickets and at a somewhat reasonable price now. Edit: I stand corrected….the tickets currently for sale on Ticketmaster are currently tickets being sold directly by the school, they are not second hand. However, these tickets will likely be scooped up fast at those prices and as the season goes along, expect season ticket holders to start listing their tickets for the UND series at some pretty ridiculous prices.
