I’m waiting to see if Vernon from CC enters the portal once their season ends (hopefully not too soon). Mbereko is clearly the #1 goaltender and I wouldn’t think Vernon would NOT (edit) want to ride the pine for most of next season.

Beers at Ball Arena are 16 bucks as well. Ridiculous but I guess thousands of people don’t seem to mind. When you’re inside, they got you by the short and curlies.

I wonder if anyone’s considered selling a beer for say, 5 or 6 bucks instead and making even more revenue through increased sales? The margins on draft beer have to be quite high. Just a thought, instead of sticking it to the paying fanbase who are in attendance.

How much were the draft beers? I recall paying $11 or $12 for a Grainbelt draft beer back in 2019.

I just wanted to acknowledge how hard this team battled down the stretch and tonight as well. They didn’t embarrass themselves one bit. I’m so proud of all those guys in the locker room. You made all UND fans proud.

UND hockey team reminds me a little of this year’s UNC men’s basketball program. Pre-season #1 and got bounced early from the ACC tournament and won’t get into the national tournament.

I heard it’s spring break at Western, which would explain all the empty seats in the student section.

Monday’s USCHO podcast is available online and they’re chatting about Alaska and why they deserve to make the tournament. No judgement here, just relaying what those guys on the podcast are saying-Alaska had the 44th strongest strength of schedule versus Michigan State with the 4th toughest SOS. They’re saying Alaska got bonus points for quality wins against DU, Omaha, and Notre Dame and how regardless of how good or bad many of their opponents were, they took care of business.

Was that a pretty thin team, talent wise? I recall it being hyped up that UND had landed Landon Wilson.

If the rumors are true that Mayotte’s name is on Michigan’s shortlist, then yes perhaps CC would be in the hunt for a new coach. Not sure Carle would be crazy enough to leave DU for CC though.
