Is it just me feeling like maybe the Ottawa GM could do the right thing and not tweet this while Sanderson’s season is still going on? Just seems like this could be a distraction to him.

Ha ha nope! But my point was, down 5-0 in the third I witnessed a hustle and compete level I wouldn’t have seen under the previous coaching staff. It was pleasantly surprising really.

I really don’t either. I just know that unlike the past few years under Haviland, this year’s CC squad has been putting in maximum effort under coach Mayotte. I don’t think UND will take the foot off the pedal but hopefully they know CC will leave everything out on the ice.

We should win this in two when comparing talent and skill on offense, defense, and goaltending. However, in two of the four games played against them this season, CC has really pressed. I thought they really pressured UND in the 3rd period of the Saturday night game at Robson and of course they came back from a 3-0 deficit to make things interesting in the Friday game at the Ralph. Don’t take CC lightly as despite their talent discrepancy, the players have and continue to play hard for their new coach, I saw that this past weekend against DU.

Lol, I’m catching sh*t from some of my fellow CC fans about UND losing and having to share the cup. Maybe UND might have to let CC see and touch the Penne Rosa next week when they come to town.

Be ready for Mayotte to dig into his old bag of tricks and challenge any and all non-calls. He did that again last night.

LOL! Since I just went back to GF for the CC series a few weeks ago, I doubt the boss will give me another hall pass!

A motivational message if it helps any…. I remember UND clinching the McNaughton Cup on a Friday night way back in 1997. The next night, DU absolutely blew the doors open on us and beat us bad, like 7-1 or something. I know because I was there-at that crappy old airplane hanger arena. UND went on to win the Final Five and the Frozen Four. Moral of the story-the book for this year’s UND team isn’t finished being written.

My wife has been saying this for a few weeks now…that she doesn’t want CC playing DU. Not that she thinks they’ll beat UND but DU just absolutely man handles the Tigers.

I like your optimism. Don’t think CC can muster a point let alone a goal. Tigers have been outscored 16-0 thus far against DU.

I synched up Hennessy’s broadcast on iHeart radio with the television broadcast so I don’t have to listen to the Omaha guys.
