I personally have no issue with the guy either. I think he’s done a phenomenal job during his 29 years there. One of my favorite UND road trips of all time happened last season when I went out to Connecticut for the series against Q. The local fans were super cool and nice and many of them came up to me to chat and were impressed with the number of fans in green who showed up for the series.

Well, if the relationship between Pecknold and UND is that bad, why did he and Berry schedule their two series against one another this year and last? Seemingly things aren’t that toxic between the two programs.

I wasn’t aware that Fantilli had off ice issues. I took Schloss’ comments to just mean he’d taken quite a few penalties and detractors were saying that’s why he didn’t deserve to win the Hobey.

I liked what Schloss said the other day on his podcast that it’s the Hobey Baker award for the best college hockey player, it’s not the Lady Bing award.

Last night, initially I was pulling for Michigan from the simple standpoint of who I thought had a better chance at beating the Gophers. After all, they’d just beaten Minnesota at Mariucci in the big ten championship game so we know they were capable. However, by the game’s conclusion, Q won me over. They demonstrated the ability to neutralize a dynamic offense. And they’re not too shabby in their own right as well.

Wasn’t Lucia pushing for some NCAA rule change that would’ve limited teams from having older players? I seem to recall that in the news his last few years at Minnesota. I think he got a lot of heat for it from the rest of the college hockey community.

I believe I heard one of the ESPN guys say Q is one of the least penalized teams. Let’s hope that holds up on Saturday.

So I haven’t heard Melrose at all this game. Is he there?

That dude for Q will have nightmares for years on missing that open net if they end up losing this game.

So in everyone’s opinion, who has a better chance of beating Minnesota? The Q or big blue?

I was clapping really loud when BU tied it up and my wife yells from upstairs, “YOU DON’T EVEN LIKE THEM!” I replied, “Yah, but I hate the Gophers!”

Refs been calling it tight all period. That interference call against the Gophers looked like a make up call for having been calling all those legit penalties against the Terriers.

Does Pandolfo make the paint peel off the locker room walls at intermission?

Yah, at CC it was frowned upon to use the word “freshman” or “freshmen” because it has the word “man/men” in it. We were called “first years.”

I see that a gopher fan tweeted a reply to Schloss’ announcement about Persson, quoting his numbers and laughing. Clearly this person has absolutely no clue about the kind of goaltender he is and the fact he played on some absolutely gawd awful teams.

I heard Connor Mayer of CC just did that. Entered the portal a week or two ago but today announced he’s returning to CC.
