Given the hand he was dealt, I thought Hakstol did pretty good during his tenure there at Philly. Not a marketplace I’d want to coach in.

FYI: masks in the arena are required (unless, of course you spend your hard earned money on beer and concessions). Also, proof of vaccination is required upon entry into the arena. A screen shot of your vaccination card is accepted.

Panino’s Restaurant is literally a block away from Robson. They have good pizza and Italian in general. Only drawback-at least from what we experienced a month or so ago after the CC game ended was, they close around ten so we didn’t have a whole lot of time there after the game had ended. But, definitely a good place to go to for dinner and drinks before the game and just a short walk to the arena.

Garden of the Gods park isn’t too far of a drive if you care to get outside and enjoy the scenery.

I remember being at this game. I thought some of the DU fans were going to go after UND fans afterwards. They were pissed.

St. Cloud fans would be saying it was a dick move too if the tables were turned. Regardless, we did enough to embarrass ourselves last night and in a perverse sort of way, if that goal got under the skin of our guys and helped them in any way tonight, then I’m glad he did it even though it was unnecessary.

Tonight’s win takes the sting off last night’s Michigan lacrosse goal which, I thought was kind of a dick move by that guy for doing when the game was clearly in hand for St. Cloud.

Tychonick took an ill-advised 5 minute major for face masking and CC, with one of the worst power plays, made them pay. Nice road win for the Tigers. All is right with the world tonight.

Hennessy said that to Berry in the post game interview and Berry acknowledged as much that he needs to keep those three together, no more tinkering with that line.

Boys were selling out their bodies those last few minutes and Driscoll didn’t have his paddle. Sanderson blocked a shot and was ailing out there. Gutty performance, especially those last few minutes. They were bending but didn’t break!

Yah the St. Cloud announcers even said the penalty happened after we’d shot the puck down so I’d think it should’ve counted, no?

Right?!?! -It was a fad in the 90’s. Lots of programs built Olympic size sheets-CC, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Anchorage, to name a few. I hated watching CC games at World Arena.

Yah, totally! SCSU really knows how to work that extra 15 feet width in the O zone. They ring the puck around getting the opposition chasing. I wish they’d go to NHL size ice.

Please please please don’t break out the black jerseys. Go with the green as it certainly wasn’t the jerseys that dictated last night’s effort.

His brother found out last year (transferred to DU) how much more difficult the NCHC is compared to other conferences.

I didn’t see the “Michigan lacrosse goal” but it happened when the game was in hand. Could being embarrassed like that serve as any kind of motivation to come out and play good, hard game tonight?

Jandric’s spear to Broadzinski’s nut sack brings up a frightening memory involving Quiet Riot… A buddy and I went to see Quiet Riot, Ratt, Warrant, and Firehouse at the Grizzly Rose about twenty years ago and we were in the front row until…..QR came out and Kevin Dubrow was wearing these tight shear electric blue velvet pants and standing there with his foot up on a riser with little left to the imagination. Needless to say, we made a bee line for the back of the room. Still have nightmares about that!

That, or going to see the Quiet Riot tribute band play at the Black Sheep bar on Platte Avenue.

Does your beer league have run time if you go up by 5 or more goals?

Not sure this is the situation you want to introduce your freshman goaltender to D-I hockey. Feel bad for the kid entering his first game under these circumstances.
