  1. Reminds me of the Canisius series a few years back. That series was played in January but UND couldn’t recover from those two losses.
  2. Does anyone recall a UND road series at DU about 6-7 years ago and in the Saturday game they called like, 7 penalties on UND in the second period and it turned what was a competitive tie game into a win for Denver? That’s home cookin’ at Magness Arena. They’re damn good but it also doesn’t hurt to get the benefit of the calls at home. Cornell coach Mike Schafer said he would never go back to Denver after a series some years ago because of the officiating there.
  3. I just got home from the CC game. They played night and day better tonight, they really responded to the shellacking they took last night. Make no bones, I will be rooting for North Dakota next weekend when I say this but if CC plays the way they did tonight, it’s not going to be a gimmie for UND. Next weekend’s series could be make or break (more break than make) for UND’s tournament hopes. Not much gained in the PWR with wins but a whole lot lost with loss(s).
  4. https://paisleyhockey.wordpress.com/2022/02/04/coach-hopes-for-major-response-from-tigers-after-lopsided-home-loss-to-no-5-western-michigan/?fbclid=IwAR0vuWeJA4l3V4XOKlfpHbPyE4PPOBtQM9C9y7-fabt-DxCMiMdWEHNLLEE Mayotte took some shots at the officials as well as the Western team but to his credit, he acknowledged CC’s deficiencies as well.
  5. True but coaches have long memories. Ferschweiler can’t bitch if it happens to him one day.
  6. Western put their #1 PP unit out there with a minute left in the game, up 7-1 and scored. Kind of a dick move by Ferschweiler but maybe he was pissed at CC or something.
  7. 6-1, Western now. I feel a comeback brewing.
  8. Western outshooting CC 42-15. Score is 6-0. Western is 4 for 6 on the power play.
  9. I’m at a sh*t show of my own right now at Ex Robson Arena so I can’t be too judgmental of others but my god, what happened to St. Cloud tonight???
  10. Is it possible that out of spite towards UND, St. Cloud has decided to tank against DU? (Kidding of course)
  11. Yah, Seville, things did get heated up when Joey Abate speared Jamernik before a faceoff!

  13. DU seems to be sitting pretty at this point. They didn’t lose anyone to the Olympics and while they have to face Duluth and St. Cloud in the coming weeks, both SCSU and UMD will be missing a few key players in those series. Plus, DU wraps up their schedule with 4 games against Omaha and CC, respectfully. I expect DU to win all 4 of those with relative ease.
  14. Glad we kept pace with DU. Speaking of DU, man, they are on a roll! I don’t think they’ve lost since playing here in November and they’re really filling the back of the net. I do think Chrona is their one weak link though.
  15. I wonder what the faceoffs are? We appear to be getting worked at the faceoff dot.

  17. If you’re an Omaha fan, at what point do you start to question coach Gabinet? I know this is only year 4 but I don’t get the sense the program is growing and moving in any sort of direction. They’re kinda staying the same.
  18. I thought he sounded fine but then, this was only my second time seeing them in concert so I can’t really judge. They played the Grudge too with the infamous 25 second scream. Previous was 2001 at Red Rocks. Here’s the set list. I’ll stop talking about Tool here as somebody is apt to lecture us for having an off topic conversation here… https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/tool/2022/broadmoor-world-arena-colorado-springs-co-3b88e0d4.html
  19. I don’t miss the big ice at World Arena. It once played to CC’s advantage in regular season home games during the years under Owens when they were good but it still didn’t lead to NCAA tournament success overall with the exception of the 2005 frozen four season. I think overall, CC ran into trouble in the post season when playing on the smaller sheet against opponents who really tightened up defensively in that one-and-done format. This isn’t a hard and fast rule but it seems very similar to some of SCSU’s struggles in the post season.
  20. I went to the Tool concert last night so I missed the game and wouldn’t you know, UND hands SCSU a big loss. I guess I should try to find another concert to go to tonight for good luck. Glad everyone here got to see the good guys in green win!
  21. I feel like I just got kicked in the Jimmy just now.
