Is it me or did we play our two series vs. the Tigers last season at virtually the same times? In C. Spgs in Oct and in GF in Jan? Also, who is responsible for the distribution and patterns of home and away games? I ask because as a CC season ticket holder, this is the second consecutive year of having such a dis-jointed home and away schedule. The majority of our home games occur during the '15 calendar year.

Would the city ever consider tearing down the old city arena and re-building a new, better facility to help support north end hockey? I recall that arena being really old and the ice sheet not even NHL size. I would think that the right thing to do is to financially support park board facilities in all parts of town, not just the south end.

I was very impressed with Sanderson this weekend. He generated some scoring chances and I witnessed his forecheck firsthand down low in the Vermont defensive zone.

An the hits just keep coming for the CC Tigers... Sophomore defenseman Garrett Cecere left the program yesterday. It's concerning because he didn't leave due to a lack of playing time as he was logging over 20 mins per game. The team is down to 29 players on the roster including 14 freshmen.

Right now, I'd be happy to escape with a tie.

Is anyone watching the Capitals/Bruins pre-season game tonight? TJ Oshie laid an absolute bomb of a body check on big and tough McQuaid! Absolutely destroyed him with a clean hit behind the net, dumped him like a bag of dirt. McQuaid didn't like it and he and Oshie got in a scrap. Oshie didn't win the fight but he held his own. Oshie will quickly become a Caps fan favorite.

Is it just me or does it seems the idea and push for Sun Dogs is by left leaning academic and PC types? Sorry, I don't mean to get political and offend anyone of any political stripes but that was my impression this morning when I read a mailbag letter in today's Herald by a former professor singing the virtues of Sun Dogs. Is there some sort of an agenda with that name?

I've seen good crowds of BC fans at Magness (granted, DU is a stronger club than CC) so I was hoping perhaps some Eagles fans might want to make the trek out to the Springs. I found an Eagles forum but you gotta pay $8.99 per month to join. No way. Good point though about Craig's List, I'll try that.

I have two seats for the Fri and Sat night games between CC and Boston College at World Arena October 23 and 24th. I'm looking to sell them for face, if possible, and was wondering if anyone knows of a Boston College hockey forum similar to Siouxsports.com so that I could try to find a possible buyer. Single game tickets for Vermont hockey went on sale starting today. I got my UND tickets about an hour after they started going on sale and it looks like they're selling very fast based on most of the seating sections are already sold out. The arena only holds about 4,000 so not very big (but looks very intimate and I bet it's loud and intimidating!). Point being, don't wait around if you plan on going, get your tickets soon! Am I wrong to think that Jacksonville State made a mistake by taking a knee with 39 seconds left in the game, tie game, and first down at their own 35 yard line with one time out remaining? My thought is, you're the underdog, on the road at #6 Auburn, playing with house money. Why not take a couple shots down field and try to get in field goal range?

Tickets go on sale next Friday for the "Battle On Blake" (the outdoor game between CC and DU in February at Coors Field). As a season ticket holder, I'll be able to get in on the pre-sale which starts this coming Monday. If anyone is interested, let me know as I plan to buy my tickets first thing Monday. Yes-there is a visitor section (even though you'll find UND fans scattered all over the arena). Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 are where you'd feel the most at home (assuming you're a UND fan). These sections are on the end where North Dakota attacks twice.
