So Michigan lost. That means they're out and likely we draw the Gophers?

Maybe I watched a different game today but I kinda thought Murphy was one of the lone stars for UND? I saw a lot of hustle from him and he had a nice slap shot on Jillett in the first period that he kicked out for a juicy rebound. I thought Murphy stood out more so than any of our other forwards.

Glad to see Miami beat DU tonight but man, some terrible officiating in those last two minutes. A boarding and a hook/high stick by Miami right in front of the ref and no calls? Wow.

St. Cloud left nothing to chance in that third period. Rarely did thy send in a forechecker in the UND zone. We had a heck of a time getting the puck through the neutral zone and when we did create O zone pressure, they packed it in tight and didn't give us shooting lanes. They did a nice version of 1990's New Jersey Devils with their trap in the last ten minutes of the game. I respect their strategy particularly considering they had a lot more on the line tonight.

Wow, Robert Morris lost. Does that mean they're out of the NCAA tourney?

Girlfriend wearing her CC Tigers hoodie, I'm wearing my Sioux hoodie, we're in the elevator at the Westin and right before the elevator makes a stop on the way down she says, "I just hope DU doesn't win this weekend" and in walk three Pioneers players. They actually commented to us about our hoodies and were really cool to us. I was quite impressed at how personable they were. Funny how we can say we "hate" this school or that but, at the end of the day, they're just a bunch of young college kids doing their thing-going to class, trying to win for their team and fan bases just like UND players. Gotta respect that.

Was at that '94 series between CC and Tech at the old World Arena. Man, Jamie Ram stood on his head all three games. Lucia's first year at CC, took them from worst to first that season. It sucked not getting into the national tournament but I'm not bitter about it...CC failed to take care of business at home. Plus, the post season tournament only consisted of 12 teams so there weren't many at-large bids so CC's margin of error was slimmer.

Glad UND won in two but proud of my CC boys for what at least sounded like a close competitive game. Hopefully Haviland and co. can hit the recruiting trail and find some skill guys who are finishers.

My predictive abilities are suspect but I'll still say that tonight's game will be a close one. I'll say UND only wins by one or two goals.

That would be fun! This conference realignment seems to have improved the "smaller" schools' place in college hockey.

Personally, I have no objections to teams doing a stick salute-win or lose. As a CC season ticket holder, I got to see plenty of them following a loss at home. I took it as their sign of appreciation to the fans (the few of us who consistently showed up for games) for our support. Stepping off the pedestal now.

CHN had showed that DU tied it up late in the 2nd with a shorty. Now, it's back to 2-1, Duluth. Anyone know what happened?
