  1. Tickets go on sale next Friday for the "Battle On Blake" (the outdoor game between CC and DU in February at Coors Field). As a season ticket holder, I'll be able to get in on the pre-sale which starts this coming Monday. If anyone is interested, let me know as I plan to buy my tickets first thing Monday. 2. Yes-there is a visitor section (even though you'll find UND fans scattered all over the arena). Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 are where you'd feel the most at home (assuming you're a UND fan). These sections are on the end where North Dakota attacks twice.
  3. Got my 4 tickets for the series. DU charges a premium for certain series....$5 extra for the CC and Michigan State series....$10 for the North Dakota series.
  4. Sorry-I forgot to include the link and password....the password is, "FLASH" http://ev9.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/EVExecMacro?linkID=m-denver&evm=prmo&caller=PR&fromDesktop=1
  5. DU is doing a "Flash Sale" today from 9-4 MTN. You can get tickets to select games (of course, not for the CC or North Dakota games) for as low as $10. I went ahead and got tix for the Saturday night DU/Western Michigan game.
  6. This just in....Former Gopher and CC coach Brad Buetow to be the new volunteer stick kid at UND!
  7. I just finished watching the recording of the Texas Tech/Sam Houston State game. Despite the loss, the BearKats put up 45 points and over 635 yards on my Red Raiders in Lubbock. Win or lose, it sure seems FCS schools are holding their own against FBS teams.
  8. Went to the game. Phenomenal execution by UND. Shocked that the Pokes didn't make the necessary adjustments at half time. Huge win for the boys in green. (p.s., Wyoming fans are nothing but nice out here).
  9. sounds good!
  10. Living way out in Colorado, I gotta take advantage to see UND athletics whenever I can get the chance. Hopefully UND schedules a football game agains DU sometime...oh wait, DU doesn't have a football team!
  11. Yah, single game tickets went on sale yesterday on the Wyoming website. I like going to games up in Laramie; it's a fun little college town and the weather should be absolutely beautiful that time of year. The boss (girlfriend) and I will be there for the game, trunk stocked with adult beverages if anyone cares to tail gate. Just shoot me a text if you care to meet up. Dan 701-335-9035
  12. Can't say I'm surprised with Perry leaving-the team is bringing in a high-end recruit who would've likely been competing for either the 1 or 2 spot with Tyler Marble. Like Wade Murphy, I can't blame a kid for leaving a program where he's getting limited playing time as they need to think about their development.
  13. I went to see Jurassic World....I think I'd rather have watched Gopher hockey.
  14. Wouldn't getting Jost be a huge get for UND?!?! And particularly if he chooses the good guys in green versus those crimson clowns off I-25!
  15. Any news on the UNO players who left the team?
  16. Are tickets on sale yet and if so, where can we buy them?
  17. Let's give Haviland a chance to right the ship.
  18. Tough losing Slavin's leadership as well as his talent.
  19. So Philly drafted 2 goaltenders in the third round?
  20. So NBCSN analyst commented that Boesner de-committed from Wisconsin to come to North Dakota. Does anyone know the story behind that?
  21. Who here thinks Montgomery will be at DU only long enough until an opportunity arises at one of the power schools of Hockey East?
  22. Sounds like there's some bad blood brewing between Northeastern and DU regarding this kid's transfer.
  23. I agree with you-it's a great nickname with endless possibilities for logos.
  24. To the points made by RR alums, I agree that most if not all would feel honored by UND using the name; not insulted. Not to mention, if the standard is to avoid using a nickname that's already used by another institution, then 99% of the other colleges and universities should change their names. Colorado College makes no bones about it that they picked Tigers because they wanted to give the impression that they were the "Princeton of the west." Yet, today I don't hear cries for CC to come up with a new nickname.
