Hey Mafia Man, is it "could care less" or "couldn't care less"?

I wasn't comparing UND to CC or anyone else for that matter. Simply highlighting the enviable position UND fans are in right now even having this debate. Believe it or not, there are fans of "lesser" programs who have expectations of winning nattys just as much as UND fans. Losing in the FF back in '05 to DU hurt just as much as the UND defeats in their respective FF's.

Ask any CC fan what they'd chose since 1957...I think they and other schools of their ilk would take UND's consistent success any day of the week and twice on Sunday. If any of you have forgotten those difficult years of the early 90's of Sioux hockey, try being in my position as a CC season ticket holder as well as someone who has traveled several times the past three seasons to watch them play road games only to watch them lose, and at times, lose badly. I can't even begin to explain how difficult it's been sometimes to watch them play but I continue to go because I love the program and I want to see them succeed. I'm not trying to turn this into a conversation about the woes of Tiger hockey, I'm just trying to give some perspective on things and hope UND fans realize what we're all debating right now is such a good and enviable position to be in. I would bet fans of at least 50 other college programs would trade for UND's track record. In the past, I've lamented Hakstol, criticized him too but in hindsight, at times, I was just frustrated over a big loss and was looking for a pound of flesh, an easy target to blame. Hakstol is to be commended for his body of work and the product he delivers year in and year out. Yah, he's not had the success we'd all like in the FF but let's remember the talent level of the opposition...these weren't exactly the Anchorages or Techs of the college hockey world we were losing to either. End of my rant.

Watch, Dish will schedule a UND-LSSU JIP game this weekend but with my luck, they'll end up showing the Arkansas co-ed high school badminton state championship in its entirety instead.

Air Force is one of the lower ranked teams in the country too and we saw what they almost pulled off a few weeks ago. Hopefully the team will prepare as if this were a series against Miami, Minnesota, etc.

I like the fact that the 7th place team in the NCHC opened up a can of whoop a$$ this past weekend in their tournament against Non-conference foes OSU and Union. It speaks to the quality of our conference. I think the fact that virtually every team in the NCHC is in a dog fight with one another will make us battle-tested come tournament time. I wouldn't be shocked to see UND (and everyone else except, perhaps, CC) continue to have splits and see their rankings fluctuate.

Well, Mafia Man, I thought Rockhurst was going to win but Christian Brothers High really rallied in the fourth quarter.

Here's how bad the Badgers are-from the drop of the puck last Friday against CC, there was no doubt in my mind who'd win that game. I went to the game and Wisco just didn't have any dangerous play makers. I watched the Saturday night game between the Badgers and DU and ironically, Wisconsin played one helluva game so go figure.

No doubt! You should've heard us yelling at the tv screen to RUN THE BALL!!!

No doubt! I thought that should've been an interference on the UNO D man as he knew that the UND forward would've gotten by him.

Fortunately, the Missouri state football game just ended. UND hockey game is on channel 449 on Dish Network.

This Sucks! Kate and I drove all the way up to Parker from C. Springs to watch the game!

So it says the UND/Omaha game is in channel 449 on Dish Network but they're showing Missouri HS football. What's up with that???

Sweet! Gutterson Arena is on my bucket list of arenas I want to go to.

I sure hope UND makes it up to Burlington next season before Vermont builds a new arena. I'd love to go out there for a series. That old barn they currently play in looks really cool.

Well, he's not exactly lighting up the score sheet but if I had to guess, I bet Senkbeil is one of the most popular guys in that locker room.

Dan Senkbeil, former Sioux, is having a nice game tonight for Vermont. Catamounts winning 3-0 in the 3rd period against UMass.

So I'm watching the recording of Saturday's Wisconsin/DU game and DU has a freshman forward named Danton Heinen who has a real knack for finding the back of the net. He leads the team in scoring with 6 goals and 7 assists in 11 games. UND will really need to shadow this guy with their best defensive players.

I thought wearing my new CC hockey hat that I bought from Mafia Man was going to be the luck to guide our puck. Not to be tonight!

3-1, Cadets after two. CC out-shooting AF 27-14.

They played a home-and-home last season and the year before that, AF traveled to Magness.

Big game at Cadet Ice Arena. Hope to see CC win two in a row but think AF will win at home and is just a tad bit angry and embarrassed over last night's beat down at the hands of DU. AF's top line of Gunner, Holm, and Demers too much for CC's D-men. Prediction: AF 4, CC 2.

You know Wisco is bad when as a CC fan, I had absolutely no fear of the Badgers winning last night's game. Tonight, things could get ugly for Wisconsin up at Magness Arena. DU is rolling.

As bad as CC is this season, they dominated the game from the drop of the puck. Wisconsin has very little offensive threats. A very complete game for the Tigers tonight.
