  1. But man, that late 3rd period goal against BC was huge!
  2. Gornall for Hobey!
  3. Weird....Fox College Sports just says, "TBA" for me and no game.
  4. Is the game on Direct TV?
  5. Are there any players who continue to see little to no ice time? What about that Danys Chartrand guy? Is he even still on the roster and if so, why not throw him into the lineup?
  6. I'll love a win tonight and I'd be extatic to see Gornall and/or Wilke get on the score sheet. Two guys who deserve some puck luck for their efforts.
  7. CC sophomore Trey Bradley is out the rest of the season. He re-aggravated his original injury.
  8. I hear the commentator say Notterman. Any relation to the Notterman who played at UND?
  9. Hey, the good news is, we're better off in the PWR than we were going into the weekend. 9th now vs. 12th yesterday.
  10. Went to the game. Thought we badly out-played CC the first two periods but felt like CC found their legs and had a really strong forecheck which caused some problems for North Dakota. Lots of shots by UND right in LeClerc's chest. He played solid but I think we made him look good too.
  11. I hear the commentator say Notterman. Any relation to the Notterman who played at UND?
  12. Yah, I was thinking Haviland was contesting that it was either an offsides or goaltender interference but upon getting home and watching the video replay, it was clearly none of that. It was a good goal.
  13. So after Shaw tied it up, the Refs reviewed it and signaled that it was a good goal. Immediately following that the PA announcer said that CC had issued a challenge and the Refs went right back into the penalty box to re-review the goal again. Has anyone heard of this before??? I didn't know that a coach could issue a challenge, particularly after the officials had already ruled it a good goal.
  14. That's only on Wednesdays.
  15. CC isn't averaging more than 2 goals per game. I'm going with 4-2, UND.
  16. I think the reason for the 6pm start is because the demographic of CC fans (like me) is that which hits the Village Inn around 4pm for the early bird special of liver and onions, goes to the CC game, and are then in bed by 9 o'clock.
  17. Mason Bergh is really good and Trey Bradley will be back for the first time in over two months. CC won't be as much of a pushover as they have in recent years. That said, they've been difficult to watch at home this season.
  18. Unlike the coaching staff at CC, the coaching group at UND does give me solace in light of the recent struggles and health issues that UND is dealing with. Brad Berry and Co. can turn chicken do-do into chicken salad.
  19. I'm a season ticket holder for CC and at home this season they've been, at best, below average and at worst, atrocious. Not to say they haven't had moments of improvement (@ Omaha, @ Duluth) but I'm not feeling too confident about UND's confidence right now either. On paper, UND should win these two games easily but I thought that about UND and DU at the west regional back in '04 too so I'm not getting my hopes up. World Arena has been hit-or-miss up until the past few seasons.
  20. Is it too early to suggest that Berry and Co. need to go into "playoff mode" starting right now? Treat these remaining games as do or die?
  21. Duluth just seems like a bigger, stronger team with more depth than us. We look like we're trying hard out there but Duluth isn't giving us an inch of space.
  22. I tend to agree with you. The only thing I'd say is, I'm confident that UND fans don't do it out of malice. Plus, I took issue with the guy cherry picking and singling North Dakota out when stuff like that occurs at a lot of places, including CC.
  23. I agree with you. I also pointed out that when I went to a CC series in Duluth, the fans there yelled "Dogs!" At the end of the anthem. Not saying it makes it right, just calling the guy out for having singled out UND fans. If you wanna see some obnoxious traditions, just google "Lawson Lunatics" and you'll get to read about the stuff they yell at opposing teams.
  24. So, I'm starting to get into a debate with a CC fan who's decided to lecture me on how disrespectful UND fans are regarding the national anthem (yelling SIOUX!) at the very end. While I find this tradition boorish and played, I don't believe any UND fans' intentions are to disrespect the anthem or the flag. I pointed out this older man who sits next to me at CC games who yells, "Let's go Tigers!" At exactly the same spot as where UND fans yell, Sioux! His retort is that it's different because it's only a CC fan or two and plus this guy is starting his cheer right "around" the word brave whereas UND fans are deliberately trying to cover up the word, brave. I called him out on his home team bias-why is it ok for one side to do it but not an opposing team. Thoughts?
  25. Oh sh*t, Holden just said Jost hasn't played all period.
