Berry was quoted last week as saying if need be, he’d rotate Wolanin up to forward in order to give the team a spark. I wish he would’ve done that last night.

Only saw the play twice on tv but it appeared to me that the UND defender was playing Conzo pretty soft, giving him lots of space when he entered the zone and finally shot the puck. But it also appeared that Johnson wasn’t very far out from his net or that he didn’t properly angle the shot/player as well. Thoughts?

The two quick goals by CC immediately following our goals was what was most concerning to me....reminiscent of last season....bust their butts to get a tying goal and/or to cut the lead or go-ahead goal only to give one up onntue very next shift. Very deflating for fans and the players alike.

UND was successful in slowing down DU’s big line. I wonder what their game plan will be for limiting CC’s top line’s chances?

While CC’s top line has been on a roll, their goaltending has not. Alex Leclerc has been very average to be kind. Since the turn of the calendar, CC’s scored 24 goals while giving up 26.

Crap....that would mean a first round match up between my two favorite teams. I hate it when that happens!

During the World Juniors, Dave Starman commented on how little used Borgström was the previous year by team Finland. Basically said Finland wasted his talents. The guy is a stud, he will be a good pro.

So because of injuries/potential suspensions, does that mean everyone who could potentially dress will dress? Do we have any healthy scratches left?

I didn’t see last night’s game but reading many of the posts here, I get the impression the sentiment of the group is that last night’s tie against the first place team felt more like a loss rather than a tie. Also, does tying DU help us in the PWR or is it a wash?

So assuming ASU joins the NCHC, who would be the tenth team? I think it’s safe to assume the conference would not find it ideal to roll with an odd number of teams.

Yah, I held off giving my opinion until others here could see it. I agree-the concept had the potential to be funny but the final product was a bit of a whiff (except for the downtown duplex, that was funny).

Everyone needs to step off the ledge and go watch one of MafiaMan’s broom ball games....that’ll take your mind off UND Hockey and make you feel better about sports!

Nursing a 3 goal lead with 12 minutes to go, D man Adam Plant hustles out to the point and just went down and blocked an Omaha slap shot. That’s what I remember UND hockey from two seasons ago.

Maybe earlier in the season we were masking our deficiencies against lesser teams and now that we’re in the meat of conference play against some really tough competition, our deficiencies are more glaring.

I’m watching the DU game on tv and they have zone entries that are simply a work of art. UND seems to come through neutral ice too slowly whereas teams like Denver attack attack attack. Granted, this is against a not very good Omaha team but DU consistently has great zone entry. So glad I didn’t buy a ticket and drive all the way up to Maggot Arena to watch them get what will likely be their second consecutive shut out.

Not going to rag on Hennessy but he just mentioned that Duluth benefitted from a fluky goal but I’d argue that teams that hustle and out play their opponent will typically get those kinds of breaks.

When I heard the announcer say 32-12 in shots, that’s when I had to turn it off.

I can’t recall seeing a UND team look as discombobulated as that second period. Duluth has definitely gotten in their heads.

Anyone know if Cole O’Connell has committed anywhere yet? His dad was a helluva hockey player at GF Central and his uncle Timmy was a D man at UND and won a Natty.

Kalamazoo is on my bucket list. I’m trying to see a game at every arena in the country. However, it gets expensive and time consuming so I only get to one or two trips a season. Hopefully next season when UND travels there!
