You would think they would but trust me, CC the academic institution is extremely liberal and politically correct. I got my bachelors degree from there and they only believe in celebrating diversity so long as it meets their political agenda.

The public line is that the woman who wrote America the Beautiful was a guest professor at CC and they were honoring her. The gal who sang it both nights is a good friend of my girlfriend's and we sat with her and her husband during Saturday's game. We asked her about it and she said she was of the understanding that she'd be doing the anthem up until the last minute, that early morning on Friday when CC informed/instructed her what to sing.

Despite the overall domination by UND, there were brief flashes where CC had some good looks in the slot, particularly tonight, and Hrynku made some tough saves so yah, I think it's his job to lose.

Yeah, both of CC's goals were from the point with heavy traffic so one certainly couldn't fault Hrynku. As a CC fan, it was painful to watch how bad they are. What was really irritating for CC fans was how soft they played in their D zone. Credit to UND and their skill and tenacity on the forecheck. At times, it looked like a rec league team playing an A level team.

Calling for a CC sweep of UND wouldn't be bold...it would mean I've been smokin' too much of that legal stuff out here!

I will probably be accused of Tiger bias but I'm going to say one of these two games could be stolen by CC if all of UND's travel starts to wear on them, not to mention playing at 6,000 feet. It scares me that CC is coming off a bad weekend against BC too as I'm sure they're smarting from that 5-0 drubbing last Saturday night. I expect CC to really come out hard in the first period and go for the win tonight but if they don't get it, they'll get swept. 3-2, UND Friday 4-1, UND Saturday

BWW's, particularly on Friday night, will fill up quickly so I'd plan on getting there on or before five o'clock. Otherwise, you're going to be sitting there waiting for a long while for a table.

Let's also hope UND can handle it well in some FF's for a change.

Is it me or did we play our two series vs. the Tigers last season at virtually the same times? In C. Spgs in Oct and in GF in Jan? Also, who is responsible for the distribution and patterns of home and away games? I ask because as a CC season ticket holder, this is the second consecutive year of having such a dis-jointed home and away schedule. The majority of our home games occur during the '15 calendar year.

Would the city ever consider tearing down the old city arena and re-building a new, better facility to help support north end hockey? I recall that arena being really old and the ice sheet not even NHL size. I would think that the right thing to do is to financially support park board facilities in all parts of town, not just the south end.

I was very impressed with Sanderson this weekend. He generated some scoring chances and I witnessed his forecheck firsthand down low in the Vermont defensive zone.

An the hits just keep coming for the CC Tigers... Sophomore defenseman Garrett Cecere left the program yesterday. It's concerning because he didn't leave due to a lack of playing time as he was logging over 20 mins per game. The team is down to 29 players on the roster including 14 freshmen.

Right now, I'd be happy to escape with a tie.
