Glad to hear POI is done. Everytime I tried to comment on that site you'd be mocked and ridiculed just because you're not a Gofer fan. Maybe that says more about the fans then the site though. As a Sioux fan I'd be bummed if SS.com ever stopped. It's a great site to get information and links. I really appreciate the work you guys do.

How can you vote against one of the most memorable players to ever play for the Sioux? Mike Commodore is what a hockey player is. Any player that drops the gloves is my favorite. It shows a passion for the game.

That list is right on the money. You can't compare Sioux hockey and The Ralph with any other program. I'm not saying UND has the best college hockey program in the nation (I really think they do however), but I'm saying it's the most unique and fascinating program in the nation. Even with the team struggling this year I still look at other teams and say "God, I'm glad I'm a Sioux fan."

I hate to say it but I don't think the Sioux have much of a shot this week against Denver. With the way the Sioux have played it is hard to see them winning or tying a team like Denver. When you look at Denver they are so spread out in scoring. Sioux-per Villain gave UND the defensive edge in the matchup but I think that Denver takes that as well. Matt Carle and Brett Skinner are two great defensemen and both may be better than anyone on the Sioux's defense. Gauthier, Stastny, Drummond, Fulghum, and Foster are all solid forwards and score often. Despite UND's edge in goaltending I think that Denver will beat up on the Sioux this weekend unless the Sioux can find a way to contain the superior Denver forwards and defensemen.

I just wanted to let people know that I got my jersey personalized finally. I ordered the name plate and numbers from http://koronissportsapparel.com/ and they turned out great. I was very happy with it. It did cost a pretty penny but I wanted it done so bad that I didn't really give a rip. I couldn't find anyone else that would personalize a Sioux jersey for me. REA Shop said they would do it if I bought a new jersey but they won't send in an already purchased jersey.

Dubay is simply frustrated by his struggling Gophers. That's the only reason he would say that. Dubay saying that Duluth will pass the Sioux is about as credible as me saying the Sioux are going to win the national championship this year. None of you would really take my prediction seriously because you don't know me. PA carries that show on his back.

Rory McMahon has been one of the most solid guys on this team. To fault him for bringing the team down is unfair. I didn't see the penalty he got so I can't comment on it. There are other seniors that have been more detrimental to this teams success.

My prediction is the Sioux will come out flying tonight and open up the can early on. That loud boom you just heard was the jets firing up on the Sioux's season. It's now or never.

For some reason reading Coaches' Show just got me pumped up for some Sioux hockey. Last weekend could be a turning point for the Sioux team. I know what you're thinking. How could it be a turning point when they didn't even play last week? Because the top two teams in the league took a beating. The Sioux need to come out against BSU and give them a beat down and take off running. I don't think getting 16 of the last 20 points this season is a lofty goal by any means for the Sioux.

It's hard to say how Hakstol is doing because the fans don't see 90% of what goes on so I don't like to come down on Hakstol too hard, BUT it's just like in school. A student can study their butt off for a test and fail it miserably, and just like school a coach can prepare all week before a game but if the team doesn't win you still get an loss. You don't get wins because the team plays well, and you don't get an A just because you've studied you butt off. I didn't get good grades because I studied, although that helps, but I got good grades because I did well on the tests. I gave Hakstol a C because the team has not played well.

I was just on the Shattuck-St. Mary's website and saw a kid named Chay Genoway. He looks like Colby so I figured he was related. Anybody know anything about him and if the Sioux are recruiting him? He's probably better than Colby because the younger sibling is always the better athlete, but that's just an assumption.

Exactly. There is a lot of talented players on this team (at least 8 potential NHLers) but they aren't playing up to their potential. Not even close.

I'm sorry for saying the Sioux hit rock bottom. They aren't there yet but they are playing some terrible hockey when other teams are playing much better.
