I watched the 3rd period and OT of the game and I must say that CC is the best team in the WCHA. With the scoring they have and the goaltending they are a force to be reckoned with. Sertich and Sterling are two of the best forwards in the nation and one should win the Hobey Baker. I hate to say it but I think the Sioux are going to get dominated next week by CC if they don't come out to play 120 minutes of hockey. Lammy or Parise could keep us in the games but goaltending doesn't win hockey games, scoring does.

At least we won. The Sioux could not afford to lose this game. After that long break it is a given that a team will be rusty, and I think that Mankato is an underrated team. Good goaltending and solid defense is what they have. The Sioux must improve by leaps and bounds in the coming weeks. It's not early in the season anymore. In the next few weeks the Sioux must be at their peak. It's time to kick it up a notch.

I don't know what the unwritten code of pulling the goalie is but isn't it pretty much a no brainer to pull him when you're on a power play? These announcers are a couple of homers.

Cowbells don't belong in sports!!! I've hated cowbells ever since I heard NDSU fans clanging them at UND b-ball games. There are plenty of other noise makers that are more effective than the cowbell. Kessel had one amazing game, but none of his other performances were that noticable. Crosby can take over a game single handedly and Kessel can't. That's the difference.

It was quite spendy. Around $90, but I got it as an early Christmas present and it was totally worth it. The guy that I talked to from Koronis said that you can find a print shop to sew it on. He said it's called heavy stitching so just ask a print shop if they do heavy stitching and it should turn out. I haven't gotten mine stitched on yet but I'm planning on taking it in tomorrow so I can wear it to the World Jrs.

I ordered a personalized name patch and number for my jersey from Koronis. It looks great. I tried for months to someone who would personalize my jersey and Koronis was hands down the best one. I'm so happy.

CC and the Gophers are going to runaway with the WCHA. It's only a matter of who can get the most sweeps. They both have paddycake schedules for the rest of the season. UND will end up somewhere in the middle of the pack and will have a tough time getting out of the first round. It's going to be a sad year in the WCHA for us Sioux fans. Now as for the NCAA tournament I predict that the Sioux will pull a Denver and surprise everyone.
