  1. Tony Quesada (Holy Cross goalie) 2.18 GAA (11th in DI) and .928 S% (5th in DI). Kellen Briggs (Minnesota goalie) 2.51 GAA (26th in DI) and .906 S% (46th in DI). That's all you need to know.
  2. Oh my good Lord! Take off your maroon and gold blindfold and look at reality. If the Gophers would've won the Final Five and beaten each team by 10 goals you would be saying they will breeze through the NCAA. However, they got embarassed (face it), but you "suppose" you would rather be in the Sioux's position. Admit it, your team just got rocketed into reality last weekend. If Potulny doesn't play out of his mind and Briggs doesn't do anything different, your boys will have a difficult time against Holy Cross.
  3. There's some Canucks playin' eh? That'll be some good hockey.

    Prohibition

This is ridiculous. First, the NCAA wants to take away the Sioux name and logo, then they want to take away our alcohol. Why don't they just take away our lives!!!
  5. I would love to watch a bunch of smarties diddle around with a puck. Just curious, how many of those playing in this event played high school hockey?
  6. Toews looked unbelievable out there last night. There was a couple times when he was bringing into the offensive zone all alone, except for 2 or 3 Huskies in his jock. The moves he made to get by them incredible and if there would've been another Sioux player for him to pass it would've been an easy goal. Surprisingly, the St. Cloud goalie, Goepfert, kept them in the game last night. The first half off the game looked like the Sioux were going to embarass the Huskies, but near the end Goepfert actually gave St. Cloud a slim chance. I had never seen or heard of Goepfert before his 7-goals against game vs. the Goophers, and I figured he was a first-year walk on. He looked silly playing against the Sioux in the first period or so. To my astonishment, I looked at his season stats after the game and he is averaging 2.20 GAA and .924 S%. He must've been a completely different goalie during the regular season.
  7. My bro and I saw Drew walking around the X during the St. Cloud game. We told him to heal quickly and he gave us a nod. He'll be fine.
  8. I would now like to perform my best Gopher fan impression. This game against Wisconsin really doesn't mean anything. We're really looking towards the NCAA tournament and if we win today it would be nice, but if we lose it doesn't matter. We're the number one team in the country and we lost to the 18th ranked team in our backyard, but it doesn't matter. It's just a hockey game and there are more important things. Now, I will do my best Sioux fan impression, which is pretty much my normal voice. Minnesota can't even win with three extra players on the ice for a whole 60 minutes. Imagine how they'll do in the NCAA tournament when they have to play even strength the entire game. Go Sioux!
  9. I hope this game turns out to be a slugfest. However, if that happens the Badgers would probably lose because they would get an extra penalty for kicking the Gophers' ass. Lets go Bucky!
  10. Did anyone see the play with about one minute left in regulation when the puck was sitting still in the crease behind Frazee? A Husky was standing there and he jabbed his stick at the puck to push it in, but a Gopher hooks him with his stick and hauls him down to the ice, while Frazee lays back on the puck. For some mind boggling reason they give a penalty to the Husky for roughing the goaltender. The puck was sitting in the crease untouched by anyone and a Husky pokes at the puck and gets a penalty. I don't think he even touched Frazee. Then, while on the powerplay, Potulny one-times it to get the Gophers within one. It was a ridiculous call that shouldn't have even entered the refs head. I am sick and tired of WCHA refs trying to control games by making phantom calls. It's not fun to watch. Last night's game should have never gone into regulation. I would love to hear what Gopher fans think of this. The maroon and gold fans I have talked to seem to think it's OK because these kinds of calls balance themselves and all the teams get the same amount of wrong calls going there way. However, I have seen it too many times go in the Gophers favor.
  11. I have to say that last night's win was one of the sweeter in recent memory. This team played with a lot of heart for the entire game. You can tell they are on a mission. The freshman are stepping up in a huge way and it will be exciting to see what they do in the NCAA when they get Big D back. Tonight's game will not be easy to win, but won't be as crucial to play a full 60 minutes of top-notch hockey. Last night, the Sioux could hardly afford to make many mistakes with such a great goaltender in Elliott. Tonight, I think Jordy can shut down the eight goal Huskies we saw against the Gophers. I have come to the conclusion that Briggs is continuing the Gopher tradition of mediocre goaltending. He was playing pretty good during the regular season, but after last night I have no respect. I wish I could go to the boxing match at the X today at 2:30 between heavyweights Wisconsin and Minnesota, but I have to save my money so I can go insane at tonight's championship game. Oh yeah baby! Go Sioux!
  12. If these tickets are for Saturday night's championship game I will take them both. I will send you a message with my phone number in it for you to call me. Anytime tonight before 2:00 will be fine. Thanks.

    Prpich Article

Are there any pictures of him drinking from the water bottle?
  14. Either that or they don't have money coming out of their ears like urban schools do. I'm sure there is a financial cost to playing the "big boy's" night after night.
  15. What do you get when you pick your nose? Green Wave! Green Wave!
  16. If the Gophers got swept by MTU I would be the happiest man alive because it would shut many Gopher fans up (that is not easy). Lets not kid ourselves though. We all know the Gophers will sweep though.

    Sioux Goalies

There is no sense to be debating this topic. We should be debating why we are so inconsistent. The goalie situation should be the least of our worries. The only problem with Jordan is that I think he is giving up untimely goals. He will come around and help the Sioux make a run through the playoffs as they usually do.
  18. I have a number of cards. Sorry I don't think I have a Zach Parise, but I do have a Jordan Parise. Here is a list of all the players I have. E-mail me if you are interested. Jordan Parise Drew Stafford Brian Canady Quinn Fylling (2) James Massen (2) Nate Ziegelmann (2) Colby Genoway Lee Marvin Mike Prpich (2) Brandon Bochenski (2) Robbie Bina Jake "the snake" Brandt Dean Blais
  19. Haha you're wrong. I don't even have a job.
  20. I will prove it right now. 7 national championships. There, I just won the argument. I'm sure I sound cocky, but Gopher fans tend to bring that out in me. Thinking your team is better than their rival is part of being a fan. To say that argument is lame is dumb. Being a fan is about arguing.
  21. Who are you to say that article was drivel? You probably only read this forum.
  22. Excuse me while I go puke. Puh-lease. You must not be a fan of either program. It was a very well written piece, but that doesn't mean I agree with it. He fails to mention the lack of sportsmanship Gopher fans possess. When the Gophers win their fans are cocky, but when they lose the whine like little school boys who just got a wedgie.
  23. Are there any pictures or videos of the fight? Or, if anyone wants to give a summary of how it started and what happened that would be great too.
