Very well played by UND, and I think a smart move by Hardee to play some of the 2's/3's in that third set after building a lead. They still finished it off nicely and showed we have some depth and some good younger players. Really interested to see how they do against A&M tonight. A&M played ISU tough this morning, but they were also hitting some unreal shots as well.

Service errors killed or momentum in the first set. Were up by 5 at one point. Would have been nice to have that first one

SDSU does not have a good volleyball team. It's one thing to lose to better opponents but their first game against A&M, they must have had 10 or 12 errors.

Gonna go crazy, 4 WR set but run draw with Miller.

Two deep with RB's is always fluid and never really a true indicator of playing time. Jake and Jer are similar players, so third and short I doubt you see either of them in there. Look at last year, even with Miller and Sutton the 1/2, Garman still received playing time. At RB I consider it more of a 3 deep position the way UND has played it.
-
Looking at the two deep, I'm a bit disappointed to not see Butler in the two-deep at safety. He has all the physical tools you could want, just must not have the mental down yet.
-
Still not sure I like Carr getting his shirt pulled this early with how much depth we have in our receiving corps.

I would have no problem with Mollberg getting into the game for some reps, if they are truly a 1a/1b kind of thing, then I think you need to look at getting him some reps in what should be a tuneup game. I'm not saying play each QB 1 half, but maybe Bartels for 3 quarters, then insert Mollberg and let him run the actual offense, not the clock-killing offense UND prefers to run in those situations when up by 50

Didn't Riddle have a newborn kid with his GF back on the West Coast? I'm sure that played into it.
-
Even as a true freshman, sounds like Szabla might be just what we need at guard to get the offense moving. I like the number of assists she had, albeit against a bit lower of competition.
-
I'm liking the sounds of the two true freshman QB's taking reps and having success. It's great to have younger guys in there looking to push those ahead of them. I know Mollberg and Bartels are pushing each other, but it's also good to have the younger guys push as well.

Grand Forks could be an even better college town if the city council didn't always try to keep focus on "tourist destination" rather than college town. Over the years, the city council has made it known that they don't want GF to be known as a college town, so you get the sound ordinances, the housing restrictions on University, etc.

Hopefully they do increase the concentration, as drops are definitely the one area of weakness for Hardin. Even in the spring game he dropped an easy catch. He just needs to focus and play each ball as important as the next. He should watch some film of Dressler to see how that goes, don't think I can remember seeing Dressler drop a catchable ball.
-
By your logic then, city population also shouldn't matter to stadium capacity. The fact that the Fargo area is 2-3 times larger than the Grand Forks area doesn't play a factor at all in attendance. Right...
-
Could be a blessing as we could definitely use his speed next year to replace the loss of Hardin. Will he still be eligible to practice with the team? I can't remember how academic ineligibility works for practice
-
I'd say UND is placed where it should be given the question marks at QB and the deficiencies of the defense shown last year.
-
Looks like a very nice pickup and adds even more height to our frontcourt. I'd like to see them work on her vertical though. She doesn't seem to get much clearance, even on layups.
-
The biggest thing I'm looking to see on offense is how Golloday fits after a year in the system with more muscle and more speed. How good is he going to be? Just imagine 3 receiver sets, what combination do you use? Golloday, Hardin, and Jackson? Golloday, Hardin, and McGill? Hardin, McGill, and Jackson? etc. Then you get to 4 and 5 receiver sets and just the sheer depth available!

Apparently the Kohl's threat was a hand-written note. Think the use of in-store cameras should help narrow down a list of suspects for this one. These bomb threats are getting ridiculous though.

The climber is actually a gay cannibal (Donner, party of 50), so he works for all the PC crowd.

Personally I think the field would get rather busy if they tried putting a UND logo at midfield. Where do you move the Alerus logos to? Do you get rid of the Big Sky logos? Maybe you get rid of Altru (you know, the other donor)?
-
Thinks the Alerus might be overcompensating...

Spend any time on the west end of campus and you'll see Chinese students everywhere.

Following this discussion as an observer over the last several pages I have come to the conclusion that DaveK has either mastered the art of trolling, or else he's lakesbison-level batty.

Well then, maybe Faison/UND should invest more money into the football program, try to make them a power in the Big Sky and attract the bigger/better TV deals.
