Hey not the worst thing in the world, if you win, I’m pretty sure that you get the same payout as winning a game in any other round. Think it’s something like $2million per win for the conference.
-
I’m pretty jealous of it though. I like the Betty but I want that bowl setting. They also actually have courtside seating. They used to do that occasionally at the Betty, iirc.
-
I’ve been once. Pretty nice. Feel like they never have a good crowd though unless SDSU is there. Verm’s a dump.
-
Gotta not have a letdown game in Verm on Thursday. Think the squad has a lot to play for with the whole Bruns think but don’t want them looking ahead to Red Panda on Saturday.
-
KenPom has it at 22. Was 24 last year.
-
I don’t think it will be Pike, although I’m a fan. If you’re disappointed in Bemidji State, I think this one’s current school will disappoint as well.
-
Hell of a win! Let’s go boys!

Frick TE

I woke up and am still pissed. Billy’s going to just go around acting like this is fine. Hockey beat Denver so the athletic department is right where he wants it to be.
-
I thought bill chaves was going to be the guy. He’s not. New blood. This is a disaster. Still wasn’t excited about Landry. Hope Pike’s the choice but idk. Bad look.
-
I want to agree with this but also feel like it would be the wrong time. They’d make some poor decision like promoting Dosch to HC or something. Wouldn’t be external.
-
Pike was the right choice anyways. Good riddance.

UND has started to turn it around and on a 3 game win streak but can they keep the streak going against one of the best teams in the Summit, St. Thomas? If the first meeting is any indication of how this one will go, probably not. Hard to say if they’ll win this, but I have to imagine they’ll at least play better. UST is led by #5 Parker Bjorklund, #24 Raheem Anthony and #1 Kendall Blue. That’s on the court. I think they’re actually led by Johnny Tauer. This team has some good players but they’re far from the most talented team in the Summit. Tauer has built something special there going back to the D3 days and was impressively able to carry it forward to D1. He’s recruited the right players that completely buy into their role and the style. If I was a P5 AD, I would try to poach him but I think he may want to ride this thing out with UST and see how far he can lead them. Anyways, KenPom is predicting UND to lose this one 74-64. BartTorvik thinks it will be even worse, 74-61. No Vegas line yet.

Sounds like our boy Bruns missed some FTs to clinch the game in regulation or the first OT and then also stopped running to the ball (Bruner grabbed the !@#$ out of his jersey but still) on the TO at the end when Denver hit the 3. Just makes me smile.
-
UND is now 11-2 when shooting over 41% and 0-8 when shooting under.
-
Probably. Should have either been playing or told you’re redshirting. I suppose part of the pitch to get him was that he wouldn’t redshirt.
-
I think he could be too. Gotta work on his shot a bit but has the tools. Just would have been nice if he would have redshirted.
-
You ride your bike by Mara playing lately? He’s not ready man, he looks lost out there when he has gotten in. I’m not even trying to advocate for Brady but he at least knows how to play within the offense.
-
How would you guys rank the Summit? Here’s my rankings after today: SDSU UST Denver Omaha UND NDSU ORU USD KC
-
It was awful but maybe a nice bench shooter? Guy can’t defend but shot well for us. Shooting 28% from 3 this year. Yuck for something he’s supposed to provide.
-
Would Paul Bruns play for this team? I venture to say yes but USD fans have given up on him and it couldn’t make me happier.
-
Idk if I’d say they were so awful to start even. It was like mid season. But Tyree finding his groove is huge.

Too low

Amar has been such a blessing. Tyree being eligible has been such a blessing. Eli has found a nice role because of it
