I had actually already thought they had done that. I just hope the NFL draft isn't postponed; I've lost college hockey, the basketball tourney, NHL, MLB, even my Men's league hockey season an playoffs .... really hoping they don't take the draft away too!
-
I would think that by then, they would play in front of an empty stadium before cancelling the season. Not that I have anything to base that off of.
-
Totally agree, its nice to see. Like I said, hopefully they start landing some of them.
-
We seem to be going after more coveted prospects than in the past. Hopefully this pays off and we can land some of these kids!

Ummm Poolman!

Should care, at the very least for the student athlete. Apart from that it is still great recognition for the school and program.

Ugh, maybe its just a sign of the times, but I just feel like we'll get screwed on this one too.

Im as disappointed as the next person, but presuming a 9th banner because we were number 1 in the pairwise is way too participation trophy for me, frankly it seems like something Mankato would do. we had a great season but there is no national champ. Disappointing, but let’s not resort to being that pathetic fan base. There are enough others out there.

As a fan, its tough to describe the level of disappointment. The last two season of UND hockey were tough to watch, so to witness a season like this, was pretty special. If there is a silver lining at all, hopefully it makes any early flight risks consider coming back to get the chance they missed out on. Sadly, this is 3 years in a row without watching UND play in an NCAA tourney game. Our current Jr. class will likely, and hopefully, only play in one NCAA tourney in their career; let that one sink in for second.

Ugh, Bummer!

Solid point, lets stop wasting time and money on cancer, aids ebola, etc. Clearly I am being facetious, but again, it does not all have to be so black and white. I'm willing to put my trust in medical and economic experts over the public opinion. Doesn't make it fun or convenient, but would you feel different if this affected a different grouping of people? Babies, Children, Young Adults? My point is there is no perfect answer to how to handle this. Do nothing? Do Everything? Somewhere in between? I'm not expert, I'm just saying some people need to temper their anger over sporting events, when there are bigger things at stake.
-
Agreed, I'm still hoping they can play the NCAA tourney, but if they don't, I get it.

I love how so many people on public forums, especially a sport forum, deems themselves both economic and medical experts. My understanding is, Covid-19 is not overly dangerous unless you are older, or you have a compromised immune system. Of course there are exceptions to this. Several on social media think it is more important to continue to play sporting events, than try to limit a virus that is lethal to a certain part of the population. That does not mean that you can keep that part of the population away from the even to contain the spread. Even if only young people attend the events the virus can spread among them, creating exponentially more infected people that can then infect people who are older or have compromised immune systems. I totally get the terrible economic impact of cancelling tournaments, schools, businesses, etc. but what are people supposed to do? Continue as is, and if people get infected or die, that's just too bad? There is no great solution here, but any solution is certainly not as black or white and many here and other public forums think. This thing is affecting everyone ... infected people, uninfected people, kids, adults, elderly, businesses, schools, teams, athletes, and certainly after checking my 401k ... me. Ugh! Everyone gets their opinion, but there seems to be a little lack of compassion for human health and life from some posters.

So are they waiting to announce if the NCAA Tourney is cancelled then?
-
Has anyone been to the spring practices/scrimmages? Care to report? I saw a few comments from Miller on Twitter, but a nice write up would be great!
-
Yes, but you are just as capable of spreading it to numerous other people including those over 60 and with weaker immune systems.

Nice bounce back by the Sioux. As far as I’m concerned Thome has earned the spot going forward which is not something I would have predicted earlier in the season. Scheel is really good, but Thome is the man right now! Scheel needs to stay ready. hopefully Kawaguchi is back soon and continues his work towards the Hobey. much more to come for this team! -
Bring back Kyle radke, rylan kaip and mike prpich
