Ok, time for the D to step up
-
Nice to see a young guy show some promise.
-
I may not be able to watch all of this, it is so bad
-
That pass coverage was completely unacceptable.
-
Undersized and underprepared thus far
-
I’m not even talking wins or losses, I’m saying I watched their two toughest games and they looked like a really good football team.
-
Yeah, I can't get on board with that comment at all. The Jack are a top 4 team that played the Bison tough and took the Gophers to OT. Granted the Gopher were not as strong early in the season as they are now, but still. That is a very respectable showing against a good Big Ten program.

I usually like what Herder rights. He generally has pretty realistic opinions.

Fair point, I guess we will see. We need to get in first, and then we will see who we match up against. So much rides on Weber in two weeks. Need one more statement win to really break back into the picture.

Might as well get the conversation rolling on Weber. I don't know much about them, and maybe we will learn a bit during our bye week as they play @ Sac St. Hopefully we see some guys get healthy this week, and put together a good game plan, especially defensively. If I recall, we put up a really good fight against Weber last year, but gave up a lot of big runs to their Freshman; I think it was Josh Davis, who is currently the 3rd most rushing yards behind Duy (CP) and Flanagan (ISU). Offensively, Weber St is in the middle of the big sky, but defensively is #2 (20.4 PPG) behind only Sac St. Weber has the 4th best rush offense in the BSC, but are bear the bottom in passing with only 167.5 avg per game, ahead of only Cal Poly and their triple option. This lines up similar to Montana St. who has the #1 rushing offense in the BSC, but are just one slot ahead of Weber in passing. Wildcats are 2nd in the BSC in Sack with 23, so the OL will need to be ready, and Kett will need to get the ball out quick. Coaches really need to scheme here. Short, quick passes and try to open up the run game a bit. Hope to see some more BB plays, be it run or pass. One thing I did notice, is that while Weber has played 2 FBS schools, they have not been overly tested within the conference. To this point, they have not played a BSC team with a winning record (They did host and beat UNI): -Poly (2-6) -Idaho (3-5) -S. Utah (2-7) -N. Arizona (4-4) -UC Davis (4-5) -Sac St. will pose a big challenge this weekend UND is just inside the playoff picture according to NoBowls, but I haven't seen any mention of us anywhere else. I don't like the EWU loss, because we shot ourselves in the foot with turnovers, but the ISU beat down is what is truly holding us back right now. We are sitting at #14 according to Massey, and somehow finding a way to win against Weber (and on the road) would do a lot to erase some of the ISU blemish. Last year Weber was #4 and we expected a really low scoring and defensive game, which ended up in a 30-35 shootout. I would expect a defensive showing again this year, but who knows, we have also seen UND's defense break down badly on the road. Get healthy, Get Prepared and Get the Win!

http://www.nobowls.com/ No Bowls has us playing at UNI in the first round. Obviously a lot will change in a few week, but isn't the first round based on bids? Would UNI outbid UND to host? I have not idea, so looking for some perspective.

Credit where credit is due. I’ve been plenty critical of this team at times, and rightfully so, but today they got it done. Didn’t have to be pretty, easily could have been settled much earlier, but a win is a win and over the #9 team. Well done!

Yeah, my Pluto is just spinning

A game? What game? Top Ten? What are Athletics?

Parrot's Cay is absolutely what I miss most about food in GF. I want to get up there sometime just for this. Do they still have their stir fry? That was the best! Wings were amazing! Do they still do $1 burger and $1.50 beer night?

This is a must win, and would got a long long way into making me excited about this team again. This team has been completely bi-polar this season, and the ISU game really deflated me. I was at the Sioux/Maverick games last weekend, so I only saw the last few minutes of the football game Saturday. I do think UND is a far better team at home, which will hopefully play out again this weekend. It would be nice to get some momentum before heading to Ogden. I am hopeful, but not confident heading into Saturday. Really hoping these guys can step up and get it done this weekend. Prove to the fans that the season is not lost.

No way, not until they get an actual arena.
-
Not asking for a moral anything, but if you think Mankato now is the same Mankato team from back in the day you have lost your last shred of credibility on this board. I’m not saying we shouldn’t have won, I’m saying we didn’t play bad. That was a good game between two good teams. UND looks completely different than the past two seasons. So go back to you spelling errors and W2 comparisons.

Jan Brady U in St. Cloud looks at the preseason pairwise. It’s kind of their thing.
-
Absolutely, this team has put a far more entertaining product on the ice than anything I saw over the past two, possibly three years.
-
That goal was right in front of me. Scheel had that post sealed, the Kato guy put up a ridiculous shot. If that was a UND goal we would be callin it phenomenal.
-
I was at the game and at no point did we play bad.
-
Not sure I can argue with someone who would voluntarily jump out of a perfectly good plane. jk

An AHL Major, with an NHL Minor?
