If you're talking about Meloni, he is a Boston crackpot, and very bias against UND. He also put Leonard ahead of Kawaguchi because he said goals are important .... but vote the guy with like 6 goals number 1. Guch had more points than both, and more goals than Perunovich. Not going to argue with him picking Perunovich to be his number 1, but he trips over his own logic trying to support his ballot. I understand there are intangibles that don't show up on a stat line, but there is also regional bias that isn't explained by publishing your ballot.

Perunovich did have a great season, but I have a hard time believing the the award for best season was not swayed by the performance of previous seasons.
-
Huh, interesting. I wonder what his situation is. Best of luck to him though.
-
I still don't understand why he transferred. He would be starting ... not like he was benched, right? Only sat because of injury?
-
Yeah, this stinks, but I would assume most other schools are doing the same thing.

2020-21 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

There should be no banner, except for the Penrose one. Don’t hang second place or what if’s. Recognize this team on the wall somewhere else in the arena, but not with a banner. -

Pretty sure Pinto had already said somewhere along the line that the plan was to be here for 2 years, though you're right, some confirmation would be nice. and yeah, if JBD comes back, it would be huge! -

Its a fair point, but without knowing the who story, its easy to ask the question. -

Not a fan of that mentality from a player though. Your a high end draft pick, with big talent coming in behind you, but you’ve got the experience. Earn your damn spot and solidify it. Elevate your game. Hoping he isn’t going somewhere in the NCHC. -

Why? Do we expect them to announce some incoming freshman? -

Is UND supposed to be a host school again next year? -
I bet he can do a pull up

I'm not basketball genius, but why would he transfer? He was hurt right? Not like he was being benched and missing out on play time?
-
I had actually already thought they had done that. I just hope the NFL draft isn't postponed; I've lost college hockey, the basketball tourney, NHL, MLB, even my Men's league hockey season an playoffs .... really hoping they don't take the draft away too!
-
I would think that by then, they would play in front of an empty stadium before cancelling the season. Not that I have anything to base that off of.
-
Totally agree, its nice to see. Like I said, hopefully they start landing some of them.
-
We seem to be going after more coveted prospects than in the past. Hopefully this pays off and we can land some of these kids!

Ummm Poolman!

Should care, at the very least for the student athlete. Apart from that it is still great recognition for the school and program.
-
Ugh, maybe its just a sign of the times, but I just feel like we'll get screwed on this one too.

Im as disappointed as the next person, but presuming a 9th banner because we were number 1 in the pairwise is way too participation trophy for me, frankly it seems like something Mankato would do. we had a great season but there is no national champ. Disappointing, but let’s not resort to being that pathetic fan base. There are enough others out there.
-
As a fan, its tough to describe the level of disappointment. The last two season of UND hockey were tough to watch, so to witness a season like this, was pretty special. If there is a silver lining at all, hopefully it makes any early flight risks consider coming back to get the chance they missed out on. Sadly, this is 3 years in a row without watching UND play in an NCAA tourney game. Our current Jr. class will likely, and hopefully, only play in one NCAA tourney in their career; let that one sink in for second.
