Really looking forward to seeing how this season pans out. Do I think they will win the Big Sky? Of course not, but I want to seem them compete, and not get blown out, like they did in a few games this year. I really hope the coaching will prevail, and help improve the players that we already have, in addition to the new players. I was never a Muss fan, and I'm glad we have a coach that can light a bit of a fire under these guy. Is it football season yet?

Any potential names for FBS transfers? Between a transfer, Simmons and one of the other guys we could have a decent running game. It seems like the last really solid, standout back we had was Chappell. It would be nice to get some more size and strength back there.
-
Looks really solid in his highlights, but everyone does. I like his size and frame as safety, appears to be a good pickup. So for really impressed with this class size for these coaches, hope the player turn out to be quality guys. Anyone with more knowledge that me know how many of this class could be early impact players?

I really would have liked to see the vikes take a shot at this guy. Sherels is a good punt returner, but I think Dressler will be solid in the NFL on special teams. I think he could be a solid receiver off of screens too; turning short passes into long plays. I don't see him being a stretch the field kind of guy, cuz he would really have to burn someone since he doesn't have the height to go up an get the ball; but maybe he is that fast, its been quite a while since I saw him play in college. Good luck to him, hope he get a legit shot to prove himself at that level.

Seem to play well in Denver doesn't he
-
I just don't blame the guy for staying down after hitting the boards like that. He hit them hard and awkward; doesn't make it a cheap hit, just means it was awkward.
-
I agree, I've said multiple times it should have been a 2
-
I'd agree in most cases, but that dude hit the boards hard. Not saying it was a cheap shot at all, but he went flying into the boards. Could have been a back issue, could have been a broken collar bone, could have had the wind knocked out of him. But lets not pretend that if the roles had been reversed, half the people on this feed wouldn't be complaining ... because of course they would.

Sarcasm?
-
He got 5, not 5 and a game misconduct
-
Yes, the replay was a really strange bounce off the boards
-
I didn't say it was his fault, I said earlier it should not have been five ... and a bad bounce is a soft goal, not blaming our goalie at all. It happens, then they got one back. With all the people chirpin on here, your arguin with the wrong guy. I agree. not a dirty hit and not a goalie or defensive breakdown. Don't misinterpret what I was saying. GO SIOUX!
-
You realize the trainer make them stay down right? Its not even their choice; they hit the boards like awkwardly, they have to stay still until the trainers tell them to get up. I don't deny diving and cheap crap happens, but if you see the way he hit the boards, they were just making sure he was ok. The trainers don't care about penalties, their jobs and licenses and futures are on line if they don't follow protocol.
-
and there you go, back to a 2 goal lead, keep rollin boys
-
Get over it people, if a UND guy had hit the boards like that you'd be whining the other way. It was a tough hit, probably should have been two, not five, but we let in a soft goal. Get over it, and lets get back to putting up numbers.
-
More likely that the trainers made him stay down and still until they made sure it was safe for him to move. Didn't look like a major or a CFB to me, but he definitely hit the boards awkwardly.

Philip Nelson leaving Minnesota football program

Agreed, from the NDSU fans I know, the guy behind Brock is supposed to be a better player physically; if he can play the game like Brock mentally, they'll be in the hunt again next season. I don't think the bison are in a position to need a FBS transfer. He might be able to help UND if we hadn't lost our entire receiving core; but i think we def have some promise in our QBs. Hopefully Bubba can scheme better than Muss. -
I think that was me, I said I was hoping for better play from him after the Wisco game, and he stepped up. Great game for Schuler, and great game for the Sioux.
-
I should re-phrase, I'm not so much dissappointed in Schuler as I would like to see him take a few more shots. I am just hoping that going forward he will be able to take some of the pressure off guys like Huff. Which I'm sure he will, as he won't be matching up against teams like Wisco. Really was a fun game to watch, and very impressive to score that many point on Wisco, and keep it that close when you have the badgers shooting lights out. If they play like that against NDSU, they should be able to take care of business, but it will still be a tought game. Can't wait!

True, kind of the story for a lot of this game, we were just out sized. Although, it is incredible to watch Anderson play so well despite always being the smallest guy on the court. Regardless, tonight showed a ton of promise, and if we can carry that into our Big Sky schedule, this team could go a long way. Should be a very fun season!
-
A little disappointed with guys like Schuler and Antwii. We'll need them to step up and make some more plays throughout the year if we're going to beat some of the better teams, or if there are injuryies. Hopefully Brekke can get back .... anyone know his status (I haven't followed it closely)? Could still try to get that signature win this year, with Oregon and Butler on the schedule ... Not likely, certainly possible!
-
To keep that game under 20 against a program like that, on a night the Kaminsky plays like that ... Pretty Impressive
-
... I know, right?
-
He can probably fight better ... doesn't take much
