Totally agree with you. Not unreasonable for us to get into a position where we are like Northern Iowa or MTST. I think we would have been much quicker without Mussman. I totally agree that Bubba is on the right track. As for Faison, he is a businessman. Has to run his business, and prioritize his focuses. Football has gotten more attention, and will continue to get more attention as it becomes more of a competitive factor. Your comments just came across as somewhat bitter. No need, UND football will get there! Definitely a big fan of what Bubba is doing. Really wish there was a way to get a new stadium on campus. Unfortunately, I have not hit that BIG BIG lotto ticket yet.

Doesn't mean he won't. Obviously today was focused around hockey and there is already some success to build on. Let just focus on getting UND into the plays before we focus on being the BEST IN THE COUNTRY. I understand the frustration, but there has to be some understanding as to which program draws from attention from fans and which program draws more income. That being said, I really do want to see UND football get bigger and get better.

I wonder why the coaches never looked into Phillip Nelson as an option at QB. Obviously the guy comes with alot of baggage, but could provide a solid addition and some real competition at QB. Not crazy about the idea, just hasn't been much else going on in the football conversation.

I've never been a Philly fan, but I'll definitely pull for Dave to have success there, against anyone but the Wild. -
Hardly disappointing, even if you did want Eades. Its like losing a dollar and finding 4 quarters. I like the pick, I think UND had a lot of good options. Eades was one, Brad was one .... we're in good shape for the future.

Why are the orphans riding a bus?

Mine has to be a tie between him throwing up the middle finger at the refs when we played the goofers. OR the timeout that he took when we play the goofs at the Final Five, that completely turned the tide of the game.

Can we get Brad to flip off the refs the next time we play the Gophers? Even if (when) we're up 8-0? Just do it Brad.

As nobody else seemed to know, I doubt Zane did. His decision was likely based 100% on him being ready for the next level ... and $$$ -

Resume: 11 seasons, 289 wins, 11 NCAA Tourneys, 7 Frozen Fours and 1 Middle Finger. Thanks for the ride Dave, and good luck in Philly! You're up Brad ... -
Leaving timely uncertainty is not good when you have the caliber of recruits and players that we have. They could go elsewhere.

Berry is a good pick; I would have promoted Wade Murphy myself. -

Its not that strange ... Very different circumstances -We fired the last football coach, not going to want to retain too many from that staff that was abysmal. -Hakstol resigned for a better opportunity, had a great staff in place, and a readily available candidate that offers consistency to players, recruits and fans. Obviously they did not make a snap decision this morning. We just hearing the news this morning, but this has likely been a behind the scenes process. Berry probably isn't the exciting pick, but it is a good pick that makes sense. I liked the idea of Sandelin, but this work for me. Alot of people didn't like that Hakstol pick 11 years ago, and that seemed to work out. Coaches are extremely important, but players play the game; and we have a damn good roster for next season. Go Sioux! -

Sooo when Berry wins a Championship this year, are we still going to have to hear all the Hak haters when it is all done? -

Agreed, I really hope and would expect Jackson to stay on; but who will be the new assistant? -

Agreed, I think Blasi likes where he is, unless there was a substantial offer on the table. I just don't even see this as an option. -

Agreed, not an exciting pick, but it makes sense, and the guys certainly has experience. I always liked Hak, but I do hope that with a new coach we can get a new look on the powerplay, because I always though that was one area where Haks system struggled. We'll see, should be an interesting week or so, until they make an annoncement. -

I would NEVER want Mike Eaves to be a part of this program. That would be pretty much the worst move UND could ever make. I don't think this name should even be thrown around as a joke. -

Don't agree with you on much, but I really hope this is the top name on the list. That being said, how likely is it that we snag him away from Duluth? -

Congratulation to Hak, I have always been a big fan. He is leaving this program in tremendous condition for whomever the next coach is. I like the idea of the next coach having UND roots (Sandelin, Berry, Eades, Jackson), but if they looked outside, I would not be opposed to Hastings, Guentzel or Gwozdecky (though is would seem funny to have Gwoz after how much fans disliked him when he was with Denver) If Gwozdecky, it must be written in his contract to do the dasher dance during the stick salute after sweeps. Very bummed to see Hak go, but really excited to see who we bring in. Go Sioux! -

It just came down to one team playing to the buzzer and the other one not. 99% of games that play never happens. Either UND defends the play correctly OR the Gopher don't push to make the play. But in that game, with that team, and that matchup the Gopher played until the buzzer, created an opportunity and capitalized. Credit should not go to just our guys for letting the play happen, but to their team for creating an opportunity. That was a tough loss to swallow, I wasn't even mad when it happened; more shocked. Is it October yet? Don't want to wish away summer at all, but I can't wait for some more hockey.
