I tend to agree. I think it helped to keep beating the FBS teams, but I think it had even more to do with the turnout they got the first time around. If NDSU does get it again, it would be really fun to have it be on UND NDSU weekend, just because the turnout would increase by even more which would be fun. BUT the stars would really have to align for that to happen.

What is the word on this Roland kid? Why are we just picking up a new senior commit now? Did he have other offers or was there eligibility/grades questions? Still a little unnerving regarding how quiet it is on the RB front. Really would be nice to add a depth guy there, hopefully at corner too.

Montana vs NDSU will be a really entertaining game. Looking forward to that one actually. My in-laws are huge Bison fans, so I tend to watch more Bison games than I otherwise would. I know alot of Bison fans are glad College Gameday appears to be set for the week against UNI, but gotta admit, the environment would have been epic if it had been against UND. Fargo has already had such a good showing for those events, that adding all of the visiting fans traveling from GF and the surrounding areas would have made a great environment even better. Tailgating for that game will be fun, but gameday would be even more fun.

So when will they be announcing Blais leaving UNO and returning the Sioux.

Well, I fully intend to submit my application as I have coach/played for a variety of teams dating back to NHL93 on Super Nintendo. I also have more Stanley Cups than anyone in the market, consistently winning more than 1 cup in any given calendar year. Name any current coach who can claim that. I would also like to point out the my stretch of playing C-team youth hockey between squirts and bantams (C stand for Cup, of which I have many; again, see above). In addition to extensive NHL experience, I have also watched the movie Miracle and know that the name on the front of your jersey (hopefully just North Dakota) is more important than the one on your back. (Unless we had landed Auston Matthew, in which case everyone just get him the puck) I've wanted to get into the NCAA for a long time, but until EA Sports gets their S%!# together and makes a game, this is looking like my opportunity.

You can stop trolling. Yes our team has been irrelevant, so should they continue being irrelevant? No you change things up; hire bubbe; recruit differently; schedule differently. There is not question UND has a ways to go, but they took a nice step in the right direction. Hopefully they take another step this year; but if you ever want to be the best, you have to play the best. Playing NDSU should really show the players what it takes to be at the top. You can get off your pedestal about how much more important NDSU is than UND. The game may not be a big deal for you or even some others; but there are ALOT of people on both sides that have wanted this game back on the schedule for a long time. I know alot of Bison fans that are thrilled to see this game back, and are much happier to see UND over Incarnate Word. Why are both games in Fargo? Because NDSU is dominant in the FCS right now and has the leverage to make that happen Why would UND agree to that? because they are still good games to have on the schedule. If you have such a problem with this game, then don't watch it and stop trolling.

ESPN said last year that NDSU got another gameday because they earned it, which is pretty hard to argue. If ESPN wants to give NDSU another gameday, this would be a perfect time to do it. I will probably be in Fargo that weekend anyway, but if gameday is there, I'll definitely make it.

THIS is not just about a school focus. There needs to be an understanding that a number 1 sport is based on fan following, not just school acknowledgement. The hockey teams fans base is the largest because of perennial success. Football becomes a perennial power; the fan base and follow.

Toews does alot for the program simply by having attended school here. Having your school associated with a name like that is impressive. It is too bad that basketball can't utilize the Phil Jackson connection better. Granted there is a huge status gap between Toews and Jackson, but still. If having the Zen Master as alumni of your program is pretty impressive if you work it the right way and got Phil to buy in. That being said, I don't know much about whether or not Phil is ever involved with UND, but aside from him accepting an honorary doctorate a few years ago, I really havn't seen much association between him and the school.

As Dave no longer answers to the NCAA, it would be awesome to see him wear a sioux head lapel pin during games or something like that. I know he won't, but that would be pretty cool. It would be like a big middle finger to the NCAA, which I'm sure Dave would NEVER do.
