  1. Can we get Brad to flip off the refs the next time we play the Gophers? Even if (when) we're up 8-0? Just do it Brad.
  2. As nobody else seemed to know, I doubt Zane did. His decision was likely based 100% on him being ready for the next level ... and $$$
  3. Resume: 11 seasons, 289 wins, 11 NCAA Tourneys, 7 Frozen Fours and 1 Middle Finger. Thanks for the ride Dave, and good luck in Philly! You're up Brad ...
  4. Leaving timely uncertainty is not good when you have the caliber of recruits and players that we have. They could go elsewhere.
  5. Berry is a good pick; I would have promoted Wade Murphy myself.
  6. Its not that strange ... Very different circumstances -We fired the last football coach, not going to want to retain too many from that staff that was abysmal. -Hakstol resigned for a better opportunity, had a great staff in place, and a readily available candidate that offers consistency to players, recruits and fans. Obviously they did not make a snap decision this morning. We just hearing the news this morning, but this has likely been a behind the scenes process. Berry probably isn't the exciting pick, but it is a good pick that makes sense. I liked the idea of Sandelin, but this work for me. Alot of people didn't like that Hakstol pick 11 years ago, and that seemed to work out. Coaches are extremely important, but players play the game; and we have a damn good roster for next season. Go Sioux!
  7. Sooo when Berry wins a Championship this year, are we still going to have to hear all the Hak haters when it is all done?
  8. Agreed, I really hope and would expect Jackson to stay on; but who will be the new assistant?
  9. Agreed, I think Blasi likes where he is, unless there was a substantial offer on the table. I just don't even see this as an option.
  10. Agreed, not an exciting pick, but it makes sense, and the guys certainly has experience. I always liked Hak, but I do hope that with a new coach we can get a new look on the powerplay, because I always though that was one area where Haks system struggled. We'll see, should be an interesting week or so, until they make an annoncement.
  11. I would NEVER want Mike Eaves to be a part of this program. That would be pretty much the worst move UND could ever make. I don't think this name should even be thrown around as a joke.
  12. Don't agree with you on much, but I really hope this is the top name on the list. That being said, how likely is it that we snag him away from Duluth?
  13. Congratulation to Hak, I have always been a big fan. He is leaving this program in tremendous condition for whomever the next coach is. I like the idea of the next coach having UND roots (Sandelin, Berry, Eades, Jackson), but if they looked outside, I would not be opposed to Hastings, Guentzel or Gwozdecky (though is would seem funny to have Gwoz after how much fans disliked him when he was with Denver) If Gwozdecky, it must be written in his contract to do the dasher dance during the stick salute after sweeps. Very bummed to see Hak go, but really excited to see who we bring in. Go Sioux!
  14. They could make a great promotion and get him to dance on the dasher.
  15. That would be awesome! and DHG would absolutely blow up on twitter.

  17. It just came down to one team playing to the buzzer and the other one not. 99% of games that play never happens. Either UND defends the play correctly OR the Gopher don't push to make the play. But in that game, with that team, and that matchup the Gopher played until the buzzer, created an opportunity and capitalized. Credit should not go to just our guys for letting the play happen, but to their team for creating an opportunity. That was a tough loss to swallow, I wasn't even mad when it happened; more shocked. Is it October yet? Don't want to wish away summer at all, but I can't wait for some more hockey.
  18. It would be nice to have Schmaltz back; always good to have the experience and leadership there, but if he is gone it sounds like we have some guys ready to step in and play. I don't know much about Shaw or Wolanin, but everything I have read seems pretty positive. With Ladue and Stecher back we should still have a pretty solid D core. Biggest question will be goalie; hopefully Tomek is ready to step up and play.
  19. I don't generally trust your "sources" but where do you see Jordan at? I know in all liklihood he is gone, but what is the percent chance you see him staying? 10%?? 15%??
  20. I think they did line Crocket up at receiver sometimes though, didn't they?
  21. C Murphy A Murphy A Murphy A Murphy No?
  22. I tend to agree, I think he is better suited at WR, but could maybe run some sweeps here and there. All around athlete, any chance we could see him spend some time at O and D? When is the last time that happened?
  23. With Smith, there is potential for him to play at several different positions. This is a good problem to have. I say you play him based on where he has the greatest impact. If he could play a WR/RB hyrbrid that would be pretty cool. I don't know why, but I just see this guy playing offense. I guess we'll see.
