Hope soon mean today. I'm pretty anxious to see how this one plays out.

I like this idea. There are definitely a few nice features within the current Gamble Hall, but I can't say I would be completely devastated if they bulldozed the building.

Can't wait for football to start! I really hope there are some more TV options this year. Last year it was fun to watch the Drake game on Fox College Sports, and Big Sky TV works ok, but it would be really nice to be able to watch more on TV without having to log on and hook up my computer.

Sure, I know the name. Definitely remember watching him.

Just did another 50. Super easy!

Care to divulge who you brother in law is? Just curious, since I grew up going to gopher games since I was in diapers.
-
Still any potential for an incoming transfer or two?

50 from me

Anyone else think Wade Murphy should have been the honorary Frozen Four MVP over Caggiula?

Too bad, would like to see him stay, but he also wouldn't be the biggest loss we've had. Would be sweet to see Ladue decide to stay. Regardless, I think both Shaw and Wolanin will step up nicely next year. I though Wolanin looked really good early in the year, then sort of level off and blended in; hopefully having a season under his belt will really help him. I could see him stepping up into a Stecher type role as far as being an offensive defenseman.

Good Karma, since I'm sure the entire Sioux fan base was pulling for them in the nat'l championship game against the goofers.

Hope the news is true about Paul, hopefully that was also keep LJ here. Definitely surprised Paul hasn't already been signed. It sounded like that was going to be done by this past weekend. Really hope we can retain most of these guys; the only downside to that being that we would lose a ton after next season. Thats ok though, Hang 9, then reload like we always do.

I sincerely do not see Quinnipiac winning it all next year. Losing Anas hurts a ton, despite what some people on this forum think about how tough he is. Will they be good? Probably. But they do lose Anas, St. Denis, and Garteig. I see the top 3 teams being among the top 3 again in the ECAC. Yale loses Lyon, Harvard loses Vesey, Quinnipiac loses Anas , St. Denis and Garteig. I just don't buy that QU will be the same team next year, or go to the title game.

This is great news. The very definition of the level of competition that we need on this team. Whoever is going to be the starter needs to EARN it, and who ever is the backup will still be very good. Sounding like Palmborg is going to be a very good player, and earn a scholarship ... he was a walk on, right?

Well put, and for what it is worth, I appreciated all of the NDSU fans that pulled for us. Including the very classy Carson Wentz tweet. No way in hell I'll cheer for NDSU when we are playing against you, but I'll certainly admit that I've pulled for the Bison in Nat'l Champ games, or in games against FBS opponents. I may be a little different, because my in-laws are huge Bison fans, but who do I have a more vested interest in. NDSU or Sam Houston? NDSU or K State? NDSU or Jacksonville St? NDSU or IA ST? Etc. Its the obnoxious fans, that will look for any little way to put down UND, even moments after a nat'l championship, that gets irritating. Unfortunately we have some of those fans too. Anyway, lets make some noise in football, dance in basketball, and hang number 9 in hockey. Go SIOUX!

I'm not ready to condemn the whole bulk of NDSU fans because of this article. I actually watched the game surround by NDSU fans. I took a few jabs, but for the most part they wanted to see the Sioux (Hawks - that was one of the repeated jabs) as much as I did (ok, maybe not quite as much). This speaks more to me of the obnoxious youth (I'm only 30), that feel the need to share their opinion with out looking at the full scope of the situation. This person is offended by UND chanting Go Sioux and Sioux Forever, but apparently not by their own fans chanting Sioux Suck S%#T. For the record, I'm not overly offended by that, it is simply an opposition chanting against a rival. What I'm opposed to, is criticizing the use of a particular nickname when you feel it suits your interest. Really, I didn't even finish reading this article because of how thin the meaning was behind it. This is no better than any of your "overly" PC crowd that like to kick and scream, but if you ever asked them to give a real description of what or why this offended them, they would have no substance behind their opinion. In general, I'm more disappointed with the author of this article than I am in NDSU or their fans. To bulk together the views of all Bison fans with this moron would be the equivalent of bulking together all the people at UND or in GF, with the moron English teacher that hates ROTC. I'll step down off my soapbox now.

Exactly my point ... thank you! Hope he kills it with the Wild.

ok, I think people are beating a dead horse with the Anas injury. I don't think the kid was really just whining or being a baby. I think he was seriously injured to the point where the pain was excruciating and he was trying to toughen his way through it. If anything is upsetting here, it is the medical staff for QU not sitting the kid, when he clearly had a substantial injury. If they do their job, then the kid isn't going back to the locker room multiple times. I appreciate athletic toughness, but there is a point where you become a liability to the rest of your team and the yourself. The difference between UND and QU is only that injuries really don't tend to be discussed at UND. Even so, comparing any UND player's injuries to Anas's is a ridiculous discussion. Seeing how nobody here has complete knowledge of what Anas was playing with, compared to any other player at UND or in the league. I know we like to think UND player are all the toughest SOBs out there, be some of you need to take your green glasses off for a minute.

What is the general consensus here. The longer we go without additional departures, the more likely these kids are to stay? Or will some of this drag well into the summer?

For what its worth, that guy follow up his tweet saying he was just chirpin, and that Stecher was a Stud that he wanted to see him in Edmonton.

I was just at scheels last weekend, couldn't bring myself to buy anything that said hawks. Did find a ND hockey shirt though, had to go that route.

No feather would leave you with a naked bird. That is just inappropriate, not to mention offensive to all nudists. C'mom Man!

disappointed me when I got to UND and heard the sport had been dropped just a few years prior to me getting there, or I likely would have gone out for the team. Frustrating to have opportunities limited because of something like Title IX. Can't tell me there isn't a better approach out there.
