1 - Air Force -- 'Merica! 2 - W. Michigan -- Would be cool to see a new team win it. 3 - Mich Tech -- Pearson has done a nice job with that program. 4 - Union -- Small school has risen to being very competitive, and the beat the Goofs two years ago. 5 - OSU 6 - Notre Dame -- Grossly ugly hockey helmets. Lucia's alma mater. Blah. 7 - Penn State -- Needs to take some bumps, and be in the league longer before I want to see them win it all. 8-11 - Mass-Lowell, Cornell, Harvard, Providence -- Eastern Schools; the media just loves them though. 12 - BU -- Eastern School, Diaper Dandies, the Eichel year, its BU, Yuck 13 - UMD -- Lost respect for UMD, Lost respect for Sandelin, Disgusted by DHG, I'm sure all 8 of their fans would be very happy. 14 - DU -- Hate em. Great rivalry. Hate em. Don't need them having as many titles as us. 15 -- Like Stony said, Duh. Glad they are in the tourney, its entertaining to watch them exit early.

Nope, not even close yet. Way to much history with the other schools. UMD is next on the list though. I'm thinking Sandelin has burned a lot of bridges in GF though.

Never good for the gophers to win it all. It is good for them to be successful enough to be relevant, but to always play the role of little brother to us

Not sure what to think about this BU squad. Obviously, loaded with talent; Which everyone knows. We will hear all about the Diaper Dandies during the broadcast on Friday. Seem that this team has had some of the same struggles as UND though. Tons of ups and downs. Some great wins and some bizarre losses. I think this weekend comes down to consistency, which UND seems to be finding, and experience. UND had a better finish to their regular season than BU did, though BU still won some big games. I still give UND the edge with experience and location. UND has more players with more experience in this tournament. UND certainly gets the edge with the location and the crowd. I’ll take UND to win! (Like I would pick anything else) Boston University Swept in 2 games in Denver – Understandable. Long trip, DU is really good, BU is really young, and this was the beginning of the year. Two close games. Lost 4-0 to Connecticut (12-16-8) – What? Beat Harvard 4-3 – Obviously Harvard is pretty talented this season. Swept BC Got swept by Merrimack – Huh? North Dakota Started the season 5-0 Followed by a 4 game winless streak Followed by a sweep IN St. Cloud Followed by a loss and a tie to Mich St … at home – WHAT? Then a win over Boston College Scored 16 goals against Omaha to start 2017 Followed by the worst 2 month stretch in recent UND history (including getting shut out 3 times! (UMD, CC, UNO) Finished the season sweeping Miami, SCSU, and shutting out #1 DU; tight/controversial loss to UMD

Obviously hope Poolman plays, but I have far more faith in this defensive group than I did earlier this year. Shaw is playing nicely. Ausmus has been back to form after a rough stretch. Peski is probably the most improved player in the group. Made some real rookie errors early in the season, and looks poised to be a guy we will rely on for the next few years. Improvement across the board for these guys.

I'm tellin ya, pour a little beer on it, and he'll be good to go.

NORTH DAKOTA @ UMD - NCHC CHAMPIONSHIP GAMEDAY
siouxfan512 replied to AZSIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
Are we sure Matt Greene and Ben Blood don't have any eligibility left? Or can they just borrow jerseys from the Poolman boys for a couple shifts? -
Can we all just take a moment to congratulate the Gophers on being the best team in the coun-- the best team in the sta-- the best team in their conf-- the best team in Mpls? .... Go Irish!

Agree 100% Dislocated mine one summer, and the next year it would slip out while playing hockey and slip right back in. It would even slip out sometimes just walking across campus. Hurts, and has a twinge to it, but didn't really affect strength or range of motion. Initial dislocation definitely hurts the worst though. Probably should have had surgery on mine, as it still has some movement to it.

Remember to vote on twitter, and re-tweets count. I usually tweet a vote: Then you can click on the hash tag, then on the "Latest" tweets. Then just scroll down and retweet anything for Hooker. Rack up the votes for Q

Post of the year nominee

Best of luck. Nice to see you guys in there. Solid year for your program.

I'm hopeful that he can play, and be effective. Might not have a cannon of a slapshot this weekend, but defensive intelligence is huge.Especially given their firepower. Side note, Cam needs to work on that blocker side all week.

Everyone quiet! Listen carefully! You can actually hear peoples work productivity dropping as the tourney approaches!
-
Seeing as Poolmans Dad is the trainer, I'm confident in his return. Pour some beer on the injury, wrap it in Duct tape, and get back out on the ice.
-
Then I'm pulling for UND and then Western. Don't want to see DU or UMD get one.

This video is like a bad habit. I cannot see the video posting or link and not click on it. Just too good!

Have to imagine they are negotiating details.

Pretty much what I said to my wife. Figured that might be it for tucker at UND, really hoping to see him on Friday.

Almost in tears laughing. That was actually pretty funny. Biddco - Controversial plays/calls/decisions aside, that was a pretty damn entertaining game. I think we all know Duluth's potential, though this past game was by far the most competitive of the season. You guys pretty much had our number the first 4 games. I thought that outside of the first 2 min. of the 2nd period, UND actually outplayed the Dawgs this weekend. That being said, I'm not sure I want to see a 6th game this season. I have to think that UND would match up better with OSU, but I just want to see us get past BU first. Enjoy the games, and Fargo.

Agreed. Initially, was thinking broken arm or collar bone. But the way he was holding that arm, I am thinking dislocated. Might be pretty sore, but hopefully can play.
-
He's a tough kid. Put a little Duct Tape on it and he'll be fine.

So after the brackets came out, I started wondering .... when is the last time UND played both BC and BU in the same season? We have had a rough go against the Boston schools over the years, so when were we successful? The last time we played both BC and BU in the same season was 04-05. We actually played both in the same regional and went to the Frozen Four. Year Opponent W/L Location Opponent W/L Location Opponent W/L Location 16-17 BC W New York Boston U ? Fargo 15-16 No Games - 14-15 BU L Boston Boston 13-14 BU L Boston BU T Boston 12-13 BU W Grand Forks BU L Grand Forks 11-12 BC L Grand Forks Grand Forks 10-11 No Games - - 09-10 No Games - - 08-09 BU L Boston 07-08 BC T Chestnut Hill BC L Denver 06-07 BC L St Louis 05-06 BC L Milwaukee 04-05 BC L Boston BU W Worcester BC W Worcester 03-04 BC W BC L Grand Forks I was also interested how UND has done when we were a #3 seed in our region. Shocking, we have only been a 3 seed 1 other time in recent history. How did that go? Frozen Four baby! UND's Regional Success as a #3 seed Year Opponent W/L Location Opponent W/L Location 16-17 Boston U 15-16 #1 Seed 14-15 #1 Seed 13-14 #4 Seed 12-13 #2 Seed 11-12 #1 Seed 10-11 #1 Seed 09-10 #2 Seed 08-09 #2 Seed 07-08 #1 Seed 06-07 Michigan W 8-5 Denver Minnesota W 3-2 OT Denver 05-06 #2 Seed 04-05 #2 Seed 03-04 #1 Seed Obviously these stats don't mean anything, but I'll take it!

Was really hoping I wouldn't have to hear that jackwaggon's name this year.

Could someone going to the game, PLEASE make a Beat the Diaper Dandies sign, with each of the guys names on it! That would be great on TV!!
