Props to the kid for cleaning him self up, getting sober, and trying to go into business for himself. What is he supposed to say? "We're trying to provide an alternative logo for people who think the current one sucks"? That wouldn't be the smartest way to build your business. Of course he has to say that there is no affiliation to the University, doesn't mean he wouldn't like there to be at some point. Best way to do that is not piss off the University right now. Advertise your business, build your brand, and make sales. If you can do that, and go to the University with competitive sales numbers of your logo, or product, then maybe you can get them to sign on. For a lot of us fans, this is about a logo or a name, for this kid it is also about building a business and making a living. If he does it the right way, maybe he hits it big with a UND contract .... may not. But he is taking a chance on building something for himself; have to respect that.

Good to hear. Obviously want to see UND make the best move for the program, but don't want to lose out on any viewing capabilities.

If moved to the Big Ten would all games be available on the Big Ten app? And does anyone know if that is available on Roku? Love the NCHC app, and would hate to not be able to watch every game. Obviously some games would be on TV through the Big Ten Network, but I assume all other games would be available through the app.

I've always said that I want nothing to do with Big Ten hockey, but I am definitely warming to the idea. If that does happen, I would like to see regular non-conference games with Denver, and possibly Duluth or SCSU (maybe alternating years). Get CC on the schedule every few years, but that one isn't exactly a rivalry. If you can keep DU, and some MN teams on the schedule, there is a huge benefit to the move. Money, obviously; but also getting to see MN and WI in conference games. The Michigan schools would be fun too; we've definitely had some great NCAA tournament games against Michigan. Ohio State doesn't do much for me, but they have certainly put together some decent teams together every couple years. Penn St doesn't do much for me either, but definitely a team that has become competitive quickly. Not sure if this offer will actually happen, but UND would certainly have to look at the offer. I like the NCHC, but if we made the move to Big Ten, I'd hardly be upset.

Throw out the team records. If UND doesn't show up, the way they have recently, they could drop a very winnable game. Would love to see a commanding lead to build some momentum and get the starters a little extra rest before heading to Weber. Ultimately, just get the win.

All of the talk I've heard about Orleans Arena vs T-Mobile arena, and I'm a little disappointed in the explanations that have been provided. Particularly by Schlossman. Can't we just blame the Gophers? Thanks a lot Lucia!

I get what you are saying about brand recognition, but if you give you fans more options, you might get more people to buy into the new name and logo change.

Haha, well for me personally. I'm not saying they should replace the current logo, but I think this one would be a solid addition to it (and not because the feather resemble the sioux logo). Also would translate well into a mascot which would be a solid marketing tool. I definitely think UND needs an additional logo at some point. The post office one is neat and clean, so I say add one that is a little more fun and animated. Both could get plenty of use.

Its ok to slam the logo that other people like, but its not ok when people don't like the same logo as you? Solid logic there.

Not positive, but I'm pretty sure they would only get sued if they sold it. Not if they made it themselves. Or made them and gave them to some friends.

Still my favorite. Wish they would find a way to incorporate it in. Would also be able to morph it into a cool mascot if they wanted.

Would love to see the Sioux come in dominant. Its always funny to watch Andy Murray get riled up on the bench.

So obviously we lose a beast in Hooker next season, but I am curious what peoples thoughts are on Marlon Stewart? Looks like he cam in from Creighton, so I assume he has some skill. Is he expected to be a pretty key figure next season? We've seen this team put together good wins when Q has an off night, but to have him consistently gone, makes me wonder, who will step up so we don't have a huge drop off next season.

Right, I'm just saying, you never really know if a team got better or worse, as we didn't really see the kid play. I just know there was a whole lot of potential with the kid. Maybe there were some character issues, and I can see how losing some character issues can help a team, but its hard to know what could have been.

Can't know for sure. Could have been big numbers off the bench. Maybe he would have done nothing, but there was certainly a lot of excitement about his experience and potential.

k let me re-word it ... He has been a successful coach. I already said, I'm not a fan of the guy.

Wasn't actually disappointed. Obviously glad the kid is making an impact at the next level. Hard not to think about the potential of this UND team with him on it though.

As long as it is conclusively a goal, under replay, then I'm good with that. If that happens I may have quit watching hockey though. Frankly it can't get much sweeter, and I'd be scared for my health after that one.

Haha this is so true. Its the matchup that will make or break your weekend. A Gopher/Sioux tournament game usually means the beer and whiskey will be flowing, which can be very good or very bad pending the outcome. If we do play them, I want to win the game with .05 seconds left
