Looks like Montana St. will be missing their starting RB when they come to GF. http://skylinesportsmt.com/choate-suspends-lasane-for-first-four-games-of-2017/

University of North Dakota Hockey 2017-18 Season

That would be a cool idea, if possible. As for the REA, as much as I love seeing Fighting Sioux up there, state of the art facilities is more important. -
Looks like Junior Center Lo Falamaka left practice yesterday with an injury. Not sure how serious, but it will be another player to watch along with their safety, leading up to the first game.

Anyone have more information on this Tykeise Johnson guy? With is being a late addition, there wasn't much info put out here on him? Was he a pretty solid JUCO guy? Was he getting any other looks? Realistically, does he see the field; or only in an injury situation? Edit: I did find this off of the Gophers 247 site-- Tykeise Johnson Central Lakes College/Coon Rapids DB 6'0 175 2015 MCAC All Division HM. In 10 games, had 36 tackles, 2.5 TFL, 3 INT, and 2 PBU. If I recall, the band only wears the full uniforms while on the field anyway. I believe the uniform jackets come of when in the stands. I played in the band for a couple of years in the early to mid 2000s and even inside, they are WAY too hot to wear for the duration of the game. When I played, we just wore whatever in the stands, but I would assume by now they will have some sort of matching polos or something. Maybe they can mix some green in with there. Tip of the cap to Robert Brooks on getting this done. He was terrific when I was there, and has done a really nice job with the band program.

Fantastic as always! Great to hear that some of the newcomers (Adeoti, Griebel, Blubaugh) are noticeable at practice. Nice to hear Studs is starting strong, granted it is early practice. Wasn’t expecting to hear names like Easton Erbes and Tykeise Johnson making plays, so that great at well. As Erbes was covered by Canady, I hope that speaks more to Erbes making a play rather than Canady blowing coverage, because we may need Canady to step in a bit this year. Nice to hear the offense seemed to be flowing overall. I feel like the past few years, we hear how much the defense is clicking right away, but the offense (as is usually expected) starts a bit slower. Good stuff Teeder! Thanks!

Nope, nobody but himself. Not in this lifetime. (Still one of my all time favorite movies) The question is, is it a letter jacket that he purchased from a thrift shop, rather than earning? RUDY RUDY RUDY GRADY RUDY!!!
-
Forgot about him as well. I remember reading the article when he committed. Whatever happened to him?
-
Have to agree with Iceman here. In reality, I'm sure everyone wishes the kid the best; why wouldn't we. In terms of Grady-gate/Grady Watch/Etc. it is a part of off season football talk, and given how everything transpired, I don't think a few comical remarks or jabs are completely ridiculous. Maybe Grady is waiting for today, to show up in Rudy like fashion, with the whole team clapping him back, dramatic brass music playing in the background, and the coach allowing it to happen. No? But yeah, football starts now, so I look forward to hearing how the team looks.

Joe Schobert Kurt Palandech. Chappell was so fun to watch run, wish he would have kept playing.

QB Kurt Palandech

Schobert This could really be its own thread.

I wonder how frustrating it will be this winter, when he is sitting in New Town, and could be in Frisco. Good luck to him.
-
Well, there is the official word from Miller regarding Grady. Glad the questions and rumors can all stop swirling now .... until next spring jk, he gone

Right, wasn't trying to imply that Blair wasn't putting in the work in the weight room. Just think he could be a really solid player for us if he would pack on some more pounds. Easier said, than done though.
-
Bennett had tweeted out that he had gained 20 pounds since last season, which I expected would have put him in the 250 range, but I guess not. Are we sure that those weights are all updated? I do recall seeing that Blackwell was gone, but I though Dulin was going to give it a shot at CB. Anyone know where he went? Wanzek is great news, as he has great hands, but can now hopefully be a little more physical. Haas, I hope he lives up to some of this hype. looking forward to see what he can do. Blair needs to get going with the weight. Not that it is easy to do, its not, but he needs some size.
-
Yeah, I'll go out on a limb and say this was put together before he didn't show up.
-
Any idea if these guys are Walk Ons or Scolly?
-
Why isn't he on the 2 deep? Kid must still have like 10 years of eligibility.
-
I would have to think between Mckinney or Griebel, one of them would be able to work into the spot.
-
Believe he quit before he started.
-
Yep, at this point, my biggest concern is to see these guys get out of fall camp without any more injuries. Stay healthy boys!
-
Actually, I think most people are fine with it. Seemed more to be a building level of curiosity as to what was going on; excitement he was coming back, then rumors, then he is a no show. More irritating and frustrating than anything to have a kid with potential give up on his second chance, and you have to imagine it burns the the coaches a bit. Regardless, we have some big young talent ready to step in. Going to be fun. I think the O line will be better this year, and really primed for next year, when 2 of our studs are seniors. Anyone know what the story is with Helgren? Sounded like a big get out of HS, then it sounded like he was injured last year; is he good to go? Started hearing some good things about Nguon last year too, any word on how he was in Spring football? Tobin seem to be the hot name right now out of the young guys. 53 Grant Aplin OL 6-1 300 Jr. Victoria, Minn. (Chanhassen High School) 61 Brandon Miller OL 6-5 315 Sr. Waterford, Wis. Makes sense, I hadn't thought about that. Still strange how this all transpired. Disappointing, but the O-Line will still should look improved over last year. I'm more disappoint about the Harris loss than Grady, but whatever. Can't wait to see which freshman step up on D, and how some of the new additions look on O.

Also surprising given some of what I saw on twitter. Sounded like he had impressed some folks.
