Great win by the men. I really wish the people who go to the womens game would stay for the mens as well. I really hate to see people getting up and leaving in between games. If you are already there, you might as well stay and support the UND men too. Makes me cringe sometimes. Great win, guys.

Because of immediately being able to identify them , I like the idea of the bolded schools. At this point, I would be willing to travel there next year with return game in the future and huge buyout clauses. I don't know much about the other "surname schools" or Stony Brook though.

While obviously not ideal, at this point I would say yes I'm ok with that. But that's just me. Yes. But with a huge buyout clause, like 92,96 has stated. But that's just me.

Ugh. This one hurts because we go head-to-head a lot with South Dakota for recruits in Wisconsin.

I'm not a big fan of the idea of all-black uniforms. I can understand a 3rd uni for special occasions, etc. I like the idea of all-green unis better.

Vicariously and unofficially, people can still call us the Sioux. Could merchandisers still produce the logo and sell it, even though it wouldn't be recognized by the NCAA? I don't know the legal ramifications of it. Who owns it officially? The university or the artist? Bottom line: PLEASE, NO NEW NICKNAME. Just my opinion.

One of UND's own graduates in the ND state senate has introduced legislation that would freeze tuition hikes for two years. It is amazing how much tuition costs have risen even since I was in school. I would like to think that I'm not that old to see costs increase this dramatically over such a short period of time. Or maybe I AM that old? Maybe this will temporarily take the spotlight off some "other" proposed legislation introduced recently by the state house. Here's the link.

At least we won't have to deal with Crabtree and Harrell. So TT will have some new faces on the offense too. A new QB running that system in his first start of his career might be the ONE saving grace for UND in this game. I'm not saying, I'm just saying.....

The first ever D1 opponent to come to the Alerus is Southern Utah. A team we handily took care of last year at their place who by all indications is a vastly improved team, at least offensively. Should be a great game, as SUU has shown they can compete with the best teams in the FCS this season. Also, it is our 1st ever D1 home conference game for the Great West. Because of the 7:00 kickoff time, there is no reason the Alerus shouldn't be near full this weekend. Not really sure what is being done in terms of marketing for this game from the UND athletic department, but hopefully there is something substantial being done to sell tickets and fill the Alerus up. Looking forward to hearing what is/will be done for marketing. Everyone get your tails to the game and cheer on the team for the 1st ever D1 game at the Alerus.
