This seems to be the biggest question. If you are an FBS conference, which teams from the Big Sky would you even want? It has to start and end with Montana, doesnt it? Without Montana, what is the Big Sky really worth to us? Not much, if you ask me. Now if Davis, Poly, SUU, etc get an invite as well, then maybe its a different story. I still like the MVFC/Summit option better RIGHT NOW. Maybe a better option will present itself. The next month or so is going to be VERY interesting.

This is great news. Much needed for a very long time. This will certainly 'brighten' up the campus aesthetically. Wonder if project management protocol is being followed and watched differently on this one?

IMO, the poll should be Big Sky vs Summit/MVFC, which is the most likely eventual outcome if UND is accepted into the Summit. In that scenario, I take the Summit/MVFC over the Big Sky. At this point, just get us in a friggin' conference for everything ASAP.

Who wonders that? I don't think anyone would argue that the great west is a viable long term option for football. Its what we simply have right now. We need to find a better football conference. I think everyone would agree with that

My guess is that if the Fighting Sioux name stays, they will not be returning the trip to the Alerus. Not sure if that would void the $100 k buyout or not. I'd be interested in seeing the verbage in the contract, if there is any, regarding the nickname and logo. I would also guess that is the reason why the return game is "tentatively" scheduled for 2013, with the possibility of it being moved up to 2011 or 2012. Maybe I'm wrong.

From Memorial Stadium: "We wanted to let everyone know that the team is having a scrimmage tomorrow (April 17th) at Memorial Stadium at 1:00" It is open to the public. Check it out and let us know how it goes.

It's official. UND has signed a home and home with SDSU for Nov. 20, 2010, at Coughlin-Alumni Stadium in Brookings, S.D. The Jackrabbits will make a return trip to Grand Forks, N.D., on Sept. 7, 2013. Wish they were returning in 2011 instead, but oh well. Nice addition to the schedule for an 11th game. Our 2010 schedule just got that much harder. DEFINITE road-trip to Brookings this fall! EDIT: UND-1 beat me to it.

I'll guess SDSU too, given all the "clues". Seems even more likely now with the UND-ndsu negotiations at a stalemate, and with USD-ndsu having already been scheduled. It would make sense anyways.

What a shocker. Another UND athlete getting another post-graduate scholarship. Congrats to Mr. Miller, who is a solid kid all-around. This actually probably deserves its own thread. What gives, 'UND-1'?

The video on the Dykhouse was actually pretty impressive. The locker room, coach's offices and weight training facility were especially nice. ndsu and now SDSU are killing us in recruiting on those specific facilities. Bottom line: Build....the....indoor.....practice.....facility.....now......please...

Ok, so here's the deal.... We are getting outplayed badly right now, and it's 4-0. Keep competing, finish the game strong, and don't turn the rest of the game into a cheap-shot goonfest. Keep it classy UND.

I also suppose it's a very fine line between getting an actual shot on net compared to shooting it into the goalies chest.
